Nathaniel’s POV
I hated being away from Haley. I hated that she went to talk to Ryan alone. Something could happen. Someone could already be here and hurt her.
I had to hurry up. I had to get everything ready so she would be safe.
“Jasper,” I said as soon as he picked up. “I need my apartment ready by tonight.”
Jasper was silent for a second.
“You are coming back?” he asked and I could hear confusion in his voice. “What about Haley? What about Lidia’s threat?”
I sighed as I threw another pair of sweats into my suitcase. I didn’t bother folding my clothes. I didn’t give a s**t about it right now.
“She is coming home with me,” I said as my heart skipped a beat. “I need the apartment ready for us both.”
