I ran back into her room like my ass was on fire.
I was scared shitless, I was angry as f**k, and I was the happiest I had ever been.
To say that my emotions were a mess would be an understatement.
I was scared because I wasn’t sure if Lidia and my father would really try to hurt her. I was angry because Lidia threatened her multiple times already. How dared she? Did she really think that I wouldn't find out and go f*****g insane?
Oh, I would never let them hurt her. I would break every f*****g law in the book if I had to. I would kill them first. I would never let them touch a hair on her head. I had money and I would use it to bend the law as far as I had to. Haley would always be safe next to me.
