Nathaniel’s POV
I was nervous, but I was grinning like an i***t.
The weather was finally stable enough for Haley and me to go on a hike. I would spend an entire day with her. I would talk to her, I would hold her hand, and I would watch her smile and enjoy the nature around her.
My heart skipped a beat. I adored watching her smile.
“A hike?” I heard her voice in my head.
I looked at her and smiled. She looked a little bit confused.
“Yes, Bug,” I chuckled. “A hike.”
She furrowed her eyebrows a little.
“Like a real hike?” she asked. “Not like a walk around the town? A hike?”
