Nathaniel’s POV
“I am calling it a date,” I said as I watched Haley unlock her bedroom door.
She turned around and furrowed her eyebrows.
“The hike,” I said, giving her a small smile. “I don’t care that we talked about Lidia. I am not letting her ruin this for me. I am calling it a date.”
Haley smiled and shook her head.
“Okay,” she said softly as she opened her bedroom door. “It was a date.”
My heart skipped a million beats and a huge grin spread across my face.
“Now that we established that, when can I take you on our second date?” I asked excitedly.
Haley smiled and my knees buckled. God, she was so f*****g beautiful.
“I have to work tomorrow, but how about the day after?” she asked and I nodded immediately.
