3. What an odd name

1170 Words
Dirty blonde short hair, broad shoulders, muscular back, fine round ass and strong muscular legs, all that covered up in what seemed like a navy blue police uniform. Wow...who is this guy? "Arrest me officer, I've been a very bad girl!" One of the girls shouted from behind me, creating a ruckus all around us, students in the doorway and also the ones already seated in class bursting in a fit of laughter. "Who said that?" Ms. Kelley's high pitched voice shouted highly annoyed, both she and the guy turning to look straight at me. My eyes widened, quickly shaking my head, trying to say it wasn't me,finding myself suddenly frozen in my spot once his eyes landed on me. Ocean blue...The most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my whole life, were now staring right back into mine, digging deep straight into my soul, sending an oddly pleasant vibe. "Miss Summers, right on time. We were expecting you,” Ms. Kelley stated, crossing her arms over her ample bosoms. What? What for? I don't recall doing anything wrong... "You were?" I asked, staring at her, utterly confused. "Yes, as a matter of fact, officer..." She paused, clearly yet unaware of his name, quickly followed by his answer, "Azrael." Her eyebrows shot up, her gaze quickly shifting to him for a brief moment, obviously taken aback by that answer, just as much as I was. Azrael? Seriously? What kind of name was that? "Right, officer Azrael and I," She started speaking again, putting an emphasis on his name, suddenly closing her mouth again, looking somewhere past me. "Shouldn't you girls be attending your own classes by now?" She then asked with a frown, looking at the annoying flock of females right behind me, and without even bothering to listen further to their meaningless rants, she hurried past me, slamming the door shut in their faces, then strode back to her desk, next to the "officer Azrael" guy. "Now, where were we?" She started speaking again, his burning eyes never leaving my face, "Ah yes, as I was saying, officer Azrael and I, we were just talking about your relationship with the victim-" "Relationship? What relationship? I'm not in any relationship with anyone!" I cut her off mid-sentence, my features instantly contorting into a frown. What the hell was she talking about? I haven't gotten anywhere near a boy in years! Not that I didn't want to, but my i***t of a brother like he always is, just likes too much to scare them off. "Mitch Davies...does that name ring a bell?" She then said, raising one eyebrow, looking at me expectantly. Wait, Mitch is the victim? Anyway, yeah, that name does ring a bell, but, the difference is that he wasn't anywhere near my boyfriend, or anything like that. In fact, he was actually working with my brother... So, obviously, I can't say anything about that, so here comes the excuse, "It does ring a bell, but we didn't have any relationship! We just...barely knew each other,” I explained, hoping they'll buy it and leave me alone, but the frown creasing her features as soon as I answered was telling otherwise. "Well, in case you didn't know, besides the teachers, you are the only one who actually ever interacted with him...so..." What? s**t! s**t! Damn you Mitch, and your non-existent social life! "So?" I innocently replied, inviting her to speak further, though I definitely knew where this conversation was leading to. "So, I'm afraid you'll have to follow officer Azrael here.He has some questions for you." Of course he does. Too bad I already knew my lesson. "Sure,” I shrugged, acting as casual as possible. He carefully studied me for a couple of moments, right before he moved from his spot and strode past me, towards the door. "Follow me." His deep voice rang from behind me, followed by the sound of the door opening. Without saying a word, I obeyed his command and exited the classroom, following him down the hallway. Struggling to keep up with his long strides, I increased my pace, running after him like a lost puppy, totally unaware when he had suddenly stopped, my forehead accidentally colliding with his back. "S-sorry..." I stuttered, taking a step back, noticing he didn't even bother to turn around and look at me, let alone say something. Well, yeah, judging by his huge, bulky frame, compared to my much smaller, fragile one I bet he barely even felt me... He opened a door and entered an empty classroom, waiting for me to follow, closing the door behind me afterwards. I chose to remain standing on my spot while he strode towards the teacher's desk, then leaned against it, crossing his bare arms, his bulging muscles looking even bigger. Desperate to keep him distracted from asking me questions I wasn't allowed to answer to, I found myself asking the one thing that kept popping in my head. "Is your name really Azrael? Or is it a nickname or something?" "Yes, that is really my name,” Came his answer shortly after my question, looking at me rather bored already. "Really? As in 'the angel of death' Azrael?" I jokingly asked, unconsciously escaping a small giggle. Noticing how his body suddenly stiffened, accompanied by a deep frown now creasing his beautiful features, my smile suddenly went down, instantly regretting those words. Uh oh...I think I've touched a nerve... Just as I finished that sentence in my head, he was already right in front of me, inches from my body, his evil glare burning holes in my skull. "How do you know about that?" Is this guy for real? "F-from the Bible, like everybody else on this planet?" I stuttered unsure, the coldness in his deep blue irises suddenly switching into something I couldn't quite decipher, until I noticed how his gaze slowly went down, so I followed the action, gasping in utter embarrassment once I've realized what I was doing. My hand was firmly clutched on his forearm, my nails deeply digging in his soft, barely tanned skin. "I-I'm s-so sorry!" I stuttered, quickly removing my hand from his arm like it was on fire. He blankly stared at my face for a couple of moments, seemingly shocked, right before his gaze went down again, his huge palms gently cupping my much smaller ones, sending oddly pleasant, warm vibes travelling throughout my entire body. What the f**k is he doing? "Dude, what are you-" I suddenly stopped talking, watching how he slowly, hesitantly lifted my palms and placed them either side of his face, closing his eyes for a brief moment, deeply exhaling. "Hey, dude, are you ok?" I tried to be nice, though he was definitely freaking me out already. His eyelids suddenly flew open, that deep blue visibly darkening by the second, right before he quickly stormed past me, slamming the door shut behind him, leaving me standing in there all alone, utterly shocked. What the f**k was that?
