Mel walked back into the squad bay and saw that not only were Janet and Andrea bent over the computer, looking at photos. Shane Harding had joined them.
“Where’d you come from?” she ribbed her more senior detective. We’ve been at this stuff for a couple of hours now.
“I had court this morning. Waste of time. The guy plead out. I got over here as soon as I could.”
