Smythe Preparatory Academy called its final time-out with ten seconds left in the 2051- 2052 Massachusetts high school state championship game held at the Boston Sports Arena. A see-saw battle from the outset, Smythe trailed East Boston High by only one point, seventy-nine to seventy-eight, when the buzzer sounded to suspend play. The East Boston players immediately ran to their bench to huddle around their coach.
