From his Oriental Winds Commodities House aerie on the one hundredth floor of the Petronas Tower One, George Smythe had just finished reviewing the progress to date of the plan for his official demise, when his appointment secretary, Major Surya Thappa, chimed in on the intercom to announce the arrival of his first appointment of the morning.
