The Same Day
“Senovia, we’re about to leave. Are you ready yet?” her mother yelled while she grabbed her purse and her car keys from the key holder next to the front door. “Senovia!!”
This time she yelled louder so her daughter could hear. However, the little girl was in her room playing rather than listening to her mother and readying herself to leave the house.
When she didn’t hear footsteps coming down the stairs, Samantha eventually walked from the foyer to her daughter’s bedroom upstairs.
“Senovia,” she fumed as she entered the room, hearing her daughter giggling.
The girl’s back was facing the door as she was crouched over on her bed admiring her iPad.
“Senovia, didn’t you hear me? We’re leaving.”
