Chapter 12

'What do you mean mate. Only Tyler is here. Wait is he our mate? Where is he?' I said looking around for him.

"Tyler were are you?"

'Lilly listen. Wait who is Tyler?' 

'He helped me bring you back. We must shift back, I need to find him shasha.'

'Lilly no. Wait listen.'

'Shasha I want to be with Tyler. If he is our mate then I want to mate with him. We have lost three already and pull may not have rejected us but he gave us to Jarred." 

'Lilly none of this is real.'

"Wake up. Wake up" voice shouted in the clearing. But no one was around. "Lilly damn it, wake up." 

I felt a jult of pain and my world go black.

"When will she wake up?"

"I'm not sure but now that the spell is broken she will need to break herself out of it."

"She responded to someone when we did the spell. She screamed for Tyler. Was any of your men Tyler." 

"No one was named Tyler. Perhaps if you call him his presence will help draw her back. But as far as Tyler goes maybe it's someone she leaned on in her dream state."

"Yes I'll make the call. Whatever they did we will fix I need my sister back."

"She won't be the same. Whatever the witch did to her was strong. She might question her reality."

"I know."

"I hope we were in time."

I woke up in a room I've never seen before. It was small. There were two windows that were opened with grey and blue stripped curtains. White walls, a dresser w a mirror, a tv on the wall and a chair next to the bed with my brother sleeping in it. Omg my brother. I backed away but he did not stir. He looked older but where am I and why is he here? 

'Shasha where am I?' She didn't respond. 

I slowly got out of the bed keeping an eye on my brother. I needed to find Tyler. 

I'm in sweat pants and a baggy shirt. I look at myself in the mirror and I'm very pale and extremely thin. I look younger like I'm in my early twenties but hey for thirty I look good. I'll take it. I slowly creep out of the room. There is a long hallway with photos. I'm not sure who these people are in the photos. I walk pass three doors and finally hit a staircase. I carefully walk down hoping to not make a sound. I can hear talking from downstairs and pray to the goddess that they don't hear or see me. 

As I reach the end of the stairs I can see the front door. I look down the hallway that is to my left and no one is there so I walk forward and out the door. I see no one, it's night time. I begin to run. I can't smell Tyler at all. Where is he, where am I, hell where is Paul and Kevin? 

As I enter the woods I can hear howling. I recognize the one howl as my brother. He woke up. I wish shasha or Talia was here so I could shift. I'm faster. But I can only be in human form. I run as fast as I can and I spot the perfect tree. One I can climb. So I climb as high as I can. I see the wolves and either witches or vampires. I'm not sure which. I'm so scared they will find me. But then I see him. Why is he working with them? Just then I felt shasha. 'Mate, I want my mate.' She said very sleeply. 

'Shasha he is working with them. They are the enemy.' 

'No they are not. I told you it was not real Lilly'

'How do I know this isn't a dream?'

'You will have to believe me.' 

"Har scent just disappears sir." Someone says to my brother.

"She can't just disappear. Find her now. I did not just spend the last several months tracking her down and battling a coven of witches to lose her again. Find her." He screamed. "Lilly come out now. Whatever you think it was a lie. I promise you are safe." He screamed. 

I felt bad but I couldn't trust him. 

After an hour of searching they moved on. I stayed in the tree after they left and fell asleep. 

"I love you Lilly" Kevin said as he grabbed my waist. I liened into him. "I love you to Kevin." 

"Tell me you will mate with me soon." He began to kiss the spot between my neck and shoulder were his mark would be. I sighed. 

"Yes, as soon as my father performs the mating ceremony." 

"I don't want to wait Lil."

I chuckled. "It's only three more days Kevin. You will live." 

He growls. 

I julted awake. What the f**k. 'It's a memory we have Lilly. Now that we are awake you will begin to remember the truth.'

'Kevin rejected us for Shelley. I remember the pain.' 

'Calm down. Go back to your brother and let him explain.'

'No he will harm us.' She sighed. 

I sat there and waited several more hours but when no one came through looking for me I jumped out of the tree and began to run. 

I came to a stream and took a sip. 

"Hello Lilly I've been waiting for you" 

I looked up and it's the same girl from my dream and she smiled at me. "Who are you?"

"I'm Cathy. Come with me. They are coming"

"Who?"

"Your brother, mate and several others are looking for you. Come, come you are safe." 

She leads me to a clearing in the woods. There is nothing there but then she speaks words I don't understand and a wooden cottage appears. "Come in little wolf." 

I follow her. I hope to get the answers I need.
