Chapter 5

-Paul-

I'm in Turner's office and she is stable but still out. "Turner when she wakes up force her to shift and find out what you can about the Crescent moon pack. The moon goddess came to me in a dream. We must protect Lilly. Also I am having Zack and Tim stand guard they will be down after breakfast. Mind link when she awake as well. Alpha Jarred will be here in twenty minutes."

"Yes Alpha"

-twenty minutes later-

I'm sitting in my office when Alpha Jarred and three others walk in with my beta Hank. "Welcome Alpha Jarred and guest please have a seat." 

"Thank you" the elderly man said. 

"Alpha Paul I'd like to know how the girl is doing and if we can see her?" Alpha Jarred said. 

"She isn't awake. While we were on the phone she passed out again and hasn't woken back up. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor when she wakes up. What 7can you tell me about her?"

"She looks just like my daughter but I'm not sure who she is. My daughter is dead." The women said. 

"My sister was banished at 18 and died at 26. She had been rejected by 3 mates and her wolf could no longer take the pain and she died. She refused to take a mate after her second chance mate rejected her."

"You rejected her after she refused to take a mate. She had till she was twenty." I wouldn't tell them she is my mate. A fourth chance mate. This girl must be special and Jarred smells of garbage. Yuck. 

"Her wolf was suffering and the elders figured her suffering could end if she took a mate. She was a mess. My daughter wasn't herself. You see Alpha Paul she was crushed when her mate Kevin the now beta of the pack rejected her. He had a pup on the way and didn't want to leave the childs mother. My daughter understood. Well for two years my little girl wasn't herself but as each day went by she healed. I took her to another pack with me for business and she found her second chance mate. He was married. I felt her pain the moment he rejected her threw the bond we have. She disappeared for three weeks. I thought I lost her. So when she returned the elders and I decided she needed to mate with someone. I never thought my baby would chose banishment. When I found her dead in her apartment my world shattered. She suffered all alone. I will never forget how she looked. After seeing the photo yesterday this girl looks just like my little girl. I want to see her and hug her." The elderly man said. He's her father. 

"As soon as she is up I'll let you see her. She wasn't in the best shape when we found her. She is a mystery to us. But I will have Hank show you to your rooms. Rest, shower, eat and please relax. This must be hard for all of you. I will help you as much as possible." 

"Thank you" 

-Lilly-

It's so bright when I opened my eyes. Talia are you there.

 'Yes. Are you ok?'

 Ya I'm fine but why do we keep passing out? 

We need to shift and all will be better. They are here can you feel it?

Yes I can. Why does it feel so dark? 

Because he is pure darkness. I can smell it and feel it. 

"Ah your awake and talking to your wolf. Very good. Would you like to shift. I can't let you run in the woods but I can let you shift in here."

"That would be awesome. Can you leave so i can shift?"

"Um sure I'll stand outside."

"Thank you." 

He left and I shifted. I'm not sure if I'm still white but we will see. When I look over into the floor length mirror in the room i can see im gold. Ive never seen a gold wolf but my eyes. They are purple.  Talia what are we? 

We are the chosen wolf. Blessed by the moon goddess herself. We must not let anyone know yet. We must shift back now. As I shifted back into my human form Dr. Turner walked in. " you have not shifted yet. Is everything ok with your wolf?"

"Yes everything is good. She is good and i just shifted back. "

"Oh ok. Here is some clothing." He said as he handed me some clothes and left. 

I put them on and sat on the bed. Talia I'm scared of seeing them again. 

I know but are mate will protect us. 

Mate? 

Yes are mate. He is Paul the man we saw and left to talk to Jarred. His wolf Max told me they want us. 

But how? I've had three mates already. 

Lilly I am a new wolf. Paul and Max are my first mates but we are there second. 

"Shifted and in fresh clothing. Later today you can have a shower and I ordered you some food. So now lets talk. What do you remember?"

What should we tell him?

I want are mate. No talking till he is here. 

Ok

"Paul needs to be here and just you and Paul." 

"Ok I'll inform him. Your food should be here any minute. Eat and I'll come back"

-Paul-

"Hello."

"Alpha she is awake, shifted but in private and will not talk until you are here. She only wants us present. Beyond that she looks good. She is eating now"

"Thank you and I'll be right there"

Keep are guest busy. She is awake and I need to talk to her first.

I headed to the pack hospital hoping to get all the answers i need.
