I AM A CONSORT!?

Within the Forest

I manage to make it out of the hole and into the forest. I barely slept and barely eaten. I can feel pain in my bare feet from running through the woods. I knew that if I didn't get far enough into the forest I would for sure be capture. I had to keep moving. Everything that has happened will be put in the past and I will start all over new. I can't believe in one day I found my man cheat on me with my best friend, die, wake up to getting beaten, days later make a connection with a Prince who wants me as his own. Now to just run for my life. My mind was everywhere. *flash of memory* This forest is the same forest that divides the kingdoms of my father and the Prince. I began to pick up my pace because as the night grew darker I soon knew that I needed to find shelter and this forest runs for miles. I needed to get as deep as I can go so I don't get found by my father. I didn't fear any of them I knew my fate was gonna be death if I stayed there any longer. The forest then began to get thick with water and mud. The small river is near, running through this thick mud was hard I was already covered in mud from just falling over and over. My knees were dirty and bleeding and my back sores had reopened. I knew that I needed to make it past the river to be able to be safe and rest. Yet rest was gonna be hard. I knew the stories of this forest and I knew that my life would be in danger here yet I rather feel free than he locked up. *pain* sh*t a jolt of pain shot through me. d*mn My body has pushed itself to the limit I don't know how much farther I can go. Yet with each step made it so much harder for me to keep walking. I could feel the heaviness in my body from being tired. My vision started to make me sway left to right. I began to see double of everything then in an instant my body gave out. I fell to the floor. I stared at the mud hearing the rushing of water and then the pounding of footsteps coming near me. I fear for the worst. I have been found. "My oh, my! What do we have here a little lost birdy," said the stranger with such a gentle voice. " I felt him pull me up and when my eyes looked upon his body I was amazed by what I saw. His clothing was not torn or dirty. They were clean, white, and fit him very well. As my eyes shifted up I began to see his neck and jawline. How to tick it was yet fine. His eyes were piercing and he looked at me with a gentle smile. I blushed at his beauty. "What a dirty birdy you are. Now come follow me as we get you cleaned off." I followed him to the waters where you helped clean me up. He acted more of an older sister figure than a man. "Now once you are clean we will get you fed." 

I thought to myself why is this man being so nice to me. "Sir I thank you for what you are doing but I must keep going" I spoke. Yet as I spoke his eyes glared at me. 

"You dare speak to me in that tone, I am here to help you and yet you don't want my help. Do you know what forest you are in and the rumors that follow them?" He yelled out. 

I winched back and bowed "Forgive me if my tone was rude. I am a traveler trying to get through the forest to the Prince's Kingdom to find a home. As I began to raise his face changed.

"I see so you are a traveler, yet you came through the forest of forgotten souls just to pass through. You dare lie to me yet again little birdy!" he screamed as he slammed his fist into a tree. I could see the anger in his eyes. Yet he looked so sad and lonely. 

"Forgive me, kind sir. I didn't know that what I said upset you. I would love to be treated to a meal." I said taking the very angry man's hand checking to see if he hurt it. "I am sorry for hurting you".

His eyes open widely as my eyes shifted to his. "Who are you." said the strange man.

I knew that if I lied he would being be angered again so I began my story. As my story was told he just nodded. The face that once showed wrinkles now had softened and revealed a look of worried. He was about to speak but then took my hand. 

"My dear one forgive me for yelling at you. I don't get many visitors here so I must be cautious of who comes and goes. Your story is quite extraordinary. The Prince took a liking to you and wanted you as his but is to marry another. The one he is gonna marry is your stepsisters that made you into a low-grade maid. Wow, little bird you sure have been through a lot."

If only he knew."Oh, forgive me what is your name" I can see him pause and look away. He then looked back at me. "My name is Blu," he said. I bowed again and said, "Well Blu since we now know each other's names how about we both get dinner ready and rest for the night." My words much have shocked him. A person wanting to stay. 

Who is this woman and why is she wanting to stay. Does she not know who I am. Have the people forgotten who I am in this Forest? She walked into the river and began to catch fish. I didn't same much but watched her. Once she had the fish in her hand she then threw it upon the dry land where the fished bounced till death came. She then caught another and walked back to land before grabbing the fish in her hands. She just smiled and she walked in her wet clothes. "Is she really the daughter of that man?" She then spoke in this soft voice. "Blu - the way she called my name melted my heart- where do I cook our dinner tonight," She said. I was so shocked by her fishing that I forgot about my home. "Follow my little bird, you will stay the night and be my guest." I then realized I wanted to keep her forever.
