Stormy “Who’s there?” I hissed. “You should know better than to wander around alone, mutt,” a husky female voice said. She got closer and frowned at me. “Why did you push me?” I gasped. “This is my territory!” she barked. I flinched. Who was she? I’d never seen her before and I’d been here for days. The woman was built like a wrestler. She had a tight bun on her head with nice blue eyes but she sparked fear in my belly. “But this is the common area. You don’t own it.” “You’ve got a dirty mouth on you, mutt!” I backed into the wall. My ankle burned like hell I couldn’t stand. “You need to be tamed don’t you?” she licked her front teeth. She stalked forward and wrapped her meaty hand around my throat. I clawed at her wrist but it was useless. She didn’t feel a thing. “Let me go!”
