"Please, eat at least a little, miss."
Lauren gripped her knees and just stared into space. It’s been two days since she arrived at that location. She hadn't eaten, and she was opposed to putting even a drop of water in her mouth. She had not experienced either hunger or thirst in those circumstances. She only knew that death was what was waiting for her.
"Miss, please." The woman in the maid’s uniform begged. She had been pleading with Lauren for some time, but Lauren didn't appear to see or hear anything.
Since Lauren could only view the enormous ocean and the mansion on her first day, she believed herself to be alone. She was surprised to see that she wasn't the only person there. In any case, she was grateful that she had someone beside her despite everything she was going through
