Why didn’t I do my research before moving here?????

I was frozen, my heart was pounding in my chest so hard, it was almost painful. Sweat broke out at my hairline, the back of my neck and my pits.
“Move, Savvy. F*cking move,” I mumbled. But I couldn’t because if I did, I was sure I was going to die.
On the ground not three feet in front of me was the biggest d*mn snake I have ever seen. It wasn’t moving, just coiled, like it was sunning itself. The body was so thick and the head, I swear, was as big as a popsicle, the one with the two sticks in it. And then, if that wasn’t bad enough, a f*cking gator wasn’t that far behind it. How did I not know that gators just lazily stroll along
