14 Bar Brawl Julian left his chair and elbowed his way across the room toward the tussling men, nearly running poor Tami over as he went. She had to leap backward to get out of his way, and the look she gave him as he stormed past held none of the playful flirtation she had been showing before. More people were moving toward the fight, slowly forming a ring around the combatants, and Julian had to shove his way through to reach the scene of the duel. There he stopped for a moment to take stock. The driver was on top of the Fishing Man—from up close now, Julian could see it was Worly, one of the newer hands on the boats—and had his hands latched around the prone fellow's throat. For his part, Worly was also choking the driver, but that couldn't last, not with leverage against him. B
