All through the drive she worried about what the escaped killer was doing, and what was being done to hunt him down. She didn’t like not knowing what was going on, it made it hard for her to plan. She found something else to dislike when she got out of the car at the hospital — journalists, and their counterparts in broadcast media. Since she had not had the radio on in her car, she didn’t know that news of the escape had reached the media, so she didn’t know to expect a crowd of journalists and reporters at the hospital’s main entrance.
