A quick stop at the station following her coffee with Catherine Hewitt enabled Melissa to check the police database for anything on the two suspects she had been given.
Nothing came up when she looked for Marius Kowalski, which told her only that he had never been caught or accused of anything criminal. It was a good sign, but Melissa knew it was still possible that he could be guilty of numerous things. She got a better result when she searched for Ralph Graves, he had a lengthy record for a variety of alcohol related crimes, primarily drink-driving and being drunk and disorderly.
