King's Kia's POV
"Mama". I heard Malik's murmuring in his sleep,
I stood up from the chair and walk over to the bed.
"Mama".he kept on murmuring in his sleep
I went to him and place my hand on his head and realized his temperature was okay
"Malik". I call out his name and gently tap him on the shoulder.
He opens his eyes and stared at me with shock eyes before standing up from the bad,
"Are you okay ?". I asked
"Where is Mama".he asked while staring around.
I pull him closer to me and made him sit on my laps
“Your mama will back very soon". I tried convincing him, but he wasn't listening.
"No, I want to see my mama ".he yelled in tears.
Seeing him that way breaks my heart,, and it pains me that I couldn't do anything about it.
I pull him closer to me and gently stroke his hair and place kisses on his face, not minding he wasn't my child.
"I will bring your mother back ". I expressed those words as a promise.
"Promise?" He asked while staring at me with wild eyes.
"I promise ". I muttered out those words and stood up from the chair,
"Maid ". I called out
Quickly the maid rush in
"Are you hungry". I asked while staring at the boy
"Yes".he murmured
"Get him some food"
"Yes sir".
I turned and stared at Malik
"Stay here I will be back okay "
"Okay".he murmured
I smiled at him before leaving my Chambers.
I left my palace and went to the place where the villagers camped
I look around and saw Malik's godparents walking towards me
"Greetings my king ".they bow to me
"Stand up ".
"How is Malik ".they asked
"He is fine, and is eating in my Chambers
"Thank you your highness".they both bows their head in respect before leaving.
I left the camp and went back to my visiting room,
"Guards". I called out
"Yes, my king ".two of my guards came rushing in.
“Get me the head guard ". I ordered
"Yes, my king ".
In a few minutes the head guard came rushing in.
"My king ".he knelled before me,
"What are the news". I asked in anger
"We still haven't seen her ".he whispered in fear
I groaned in anger and try to calm myself
"She left his camp two days ago and should be here by now, why is she not here then ". I yelled angrily
"Forgive us my lord, we will search for her".he muttered out those words like he meant every bit of it.
I stood up and walk around the room in anger, I felt anger and fear run through my blood.
"What did our spies say". I asked
"My king their leader is injured and still in bed, and they are still searching for her ".
I took in a deep breath and calm myself, at least she wasn't caught by him yet, but where is she.
"Head guard ".
"Yes my king "
"Search the whole place for her and find her immediately". I ordered
"Yes my king ".he said those words and left my room
I sat on my throne and all my thoughts were on Melanie.
Melanie POV
I could hear voices and laughter outside the hut, and I wondered what was going on.
I stood up from the bed and went outside
When I got out I saw the maids and guards gathered in a circle dancing and clapping their hands.
I stared at them and wondered how they were so comfortable in a bush.
"You decide to join us". I heard a familiar voice behind me,
I turn around and noticed it was the man who saved me.
"What are you guys doing here ". I asked while staring around
"Nothing serious ".he replied and smiled at me,
I look around and saw maids and guards laughing and talking to each other.
"Do you want to join us ".he asked
"No, I'll prefer to watch ". I murmured while staring around,
"Alright".he left me and walked away.
I took in a deep breath and sat on a stone closer to my hut.
I watch them sing and discuss in a different language, and I wondered where they were from.
I did a total count of them and realized they were ten in numbers.
"Come join us".one of the maids spoke up,
I smiled at her and shake my head.
She smiled back at me before joining the others singing.
"You should join them".he moved closer to me and sat beside me
"After our kingdom where else are you going to ?" I asked in curiosity
"Do you want to join me ".he asked in a teasing voice
I roll my eyes and looked away.
"Join me, it will be fun ".he suggested.
I chuckled softly before speaking up,
"I can't go with you even if I want to ". I spoke firmly
He stared at me with curiosity before speaking up
"Is it to be because of your king ".he asked
"My king?" I asked confused
"Yes, it's obvious you like the king ".he muttered out those words like he was so sure of it.
"You are wrong". I spoke firmly and look away.
He chuckled softly and stood up from the big stone.
"Where are you going ?" I asked
"Nowhere in particular" he muttered out those words and walk away.
I stood up and followed him
He noticed me following him, but he did not say a word.
We left the camp and walk into the think bush, I stared around and wondered why someone will be comfortable resting in a place like this.
"Who are you ?". I did not know when that left my mouth
He stared at me but did not say a word,
I nervously bites my lips and continued walking with him.
We walked few miles before he stopped in front of a tree,
"We are here ".he smiled at me and sat on the ground resting his back on the tree.
I stared at him for a while before sitting on the floor with him.
"So tell me about yourself".he muttered out those words while closing his eyes like I was about to tell him a story.
"I have nothing to tell "I murmured,
He chuckled softly softly with eyes closed.
"Everyone has a story to tell ".he muttered out those words like he was so sure of it.
