Emperor Kai pov

I was sited in front of the council of chiefs with Mara on my laps.she kept on playing with my hair and was in her own world

"Should we go to war with them ".one of my cheif asked

"No we shouldn't ,that will be risky". another replied back

"If we sit back and relax they will think we are weak and scared of them " another one spoke up . they kept on talking and started shouting at each other.i hissed in anger and raised my left hand up .

Imediately the hall was silent like a grave yard.those cheifs who were already standing quickly rush and took their seat .

"You act like am not seated here ,such disrespect".I should in anger and could hear my voice echo in the hall

I look at the men in front of me and saw fear written all over their face .they kept on staring at the floor and refused to look my way.i wasn't suprised this wasn't new to me .I look at Mara and saw that she was looking at me with a little fear on her face .I hissed in frustration before kissing her cheek and forehead.she smilled a me before going back to what she was doing.i looked back at the men and noticed they were still scared

"Set up a meeting with their leader imediately".I spoke up with command

"Yes emperor".my second in command spoke up

"This meeting is dismissed". imediately I said those words I watch as the Chiefs quickly stood up and left the hall .they were really scared of me and I wonder why .no one has ever dare to look at me in the eyes except I ask them to .no one has except for that green eye boy .he looked at me with no fear in him and I was really happy to know that at lest someone wasn't scared of me .

I hissed and stood up from the chair .I looked at Mara and noticed she was Already sleeping. One of the guards offered to take her from me but I refused him and carried her in my arms .we left the hall and went inside the Chariot

When we got inside the chariot, I still let Mara sleep in my laps .the guard climb on the horse and started riding us .

Few minutes later I noticed we were at the place I saw Melani .I looked around hoping I could see her or the green eye boy ,since she says they were almost home ,I looked around and felt disappointed when I couldn't see her.i hissed in anger and closed my eyes so I could get her out of my thought.

Few hours later we got to the palace .Mara was still sleeping in my arms .as soon as we got down from the chattiot one of the maid rushed to me and took Mara from me .I kissed her before walking to my chambers .

"I refused to be Disturbed".I told the guards guiding my door.

I entered my chambers took off my robes and was only on my underwear .I lay on the bed and my thought was on Melani and the green eye boy .she still looks innocent as she does three years ago but the only difference was her eyes. When I looked in her eyes I saw nothing but sadness and anger and I wish I could take all that from her .I hissed and closed my eyes so I could get rid of her in my thought but it was fruitless .I hissed in frustration and forced myself to sleep.

"Maybe I should get another queen ".I spoke up while laughing

"That won't be a good idea".Melani replied back while laughing

I stare at her and lock eyes with her .she looked at me without blinking or looking away

"Maybe I should get married to you instead".I told her while looking into her eyes .she was about to say something when I quickly stood up and walk up to her .

I opened my eyes and sat on the bed .I just had a dream of me and Melani after three years .the dream has to do with that night .it was very clear and I could remember what I saw and said.i hissed in frustration when I couldn't dreamt longer than that .I wonder what happened next when I walk up to her .

I stood up and poured a win in the cup .

Did Melani knew what happened next or has she gotten any memory of that night .she has some questions to answer and I need to find her

Emperor KIA POV

"My king there is trouble".one of my guards rushed into my chambers

"What is it ?". I asked while standing up from my bed,

"The village has been attacked".

"How is that even possible". I asked,

"They took us unaware".he spoke while shaking.

"How can you guys be this careless ".my voice could be heard all over the chambers. immediately the guard fell on the floor while shaking.

"Get me the chief guard ". I commanded

Immediately he left my chambers and ran out. I hissed in frustration and started dressing up. I was almost dressed when Melanie and the green eye came to my thought. I became restless and scared,

"Where are the villagers". I asked in anger.

"Some were held captive, while some are with us".the guard replied with his head buried on the floor. Please let them be among those with the guards.I made a silent prayer.

"Tell the chief guard to bring in the remaining people to the palace and set a camp for them". I told the guard and left my chambers.

I left my chambers and went to my meeting hall. Different village heads were already seated there. They greeted me and took their seat,

"What should we do now ".one if the village head asked in anger.I stare at him, and he quickly took back his seat with fear.

"My emperor I think we should teach them a lesson ".one of them stood up and spoke .and others agreed to it

"We are not going to war with them".I shouted, "And why shouldn't we ".one of the chiefs asked

"Because I prefer not to shed blood ". I replied.

The room was silent and everyone was quiet.

"Tell their leader I want to have a meeting with him within the next two days ". I told my second in command .he gave me an approving need nod before leaving the hall,

"This meeting is over, and I don't want to hear a word about going to war from any of you ".with that, I stood up and left the room.

"Any news about the villagers been held captive". I asked a guard walking besides me

"Yes my king, there are not harmed in any way "

"And what about the ones remaining ". I asked

"They are being brought to the camp in the palace"

Please let Melanie and the green eye boy be among them. I said a silent prayer.

I went back to my chambers, but I was restless and scared, I stood up and left my chambers.I went straight to the camp and saw that some villagers were already there. I did an eye search for Melanie but couldn't find her and the boy.a guard walk up to me and greeted me

"Are this all the villagers?". I asked

"No my lord, more are on their way". Immediately he said that I felt relieved and calm, maybe they are among the other set

"Let me know when the last set arrives". I told the guard and left the camp.

I was on my way to the camp when my second in command walk up to me,

"He agreed to meet with you within an hour "

"Set the horses". I told him

"But emperor it's too risky ".

"Just do as I say ". I told him and went back to my chambers.

Few minutes later I was at the venue of the meeting.I looked around and saw the leader already seated with few of his men

"Well well well who do we have here".he spoke in a mocking voice

I ignored him and took a seat opposite him

"Release my people".the words came out from my mouth like a command. He looked at me before laughing like I said a big joke

"You have no right to order me around".he spoke up in anger.

"I don't want to repeat myself again ". I told him with an angry voice .he stares at me for a minute before speaking up

"Give me what I want then I will let your people go, and the village be"

"What do you want?". I asked,

"I want the land close to the river bank"he replied. I stare at him and couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"And what make you think I will give in to your demand". I asked in anger

"Because I have your people, and you wouldn't want me to harm them".he threatened

I angrily stood up and walk up to him, so we were close.

"Touch a hair from them and watch me feed your flesh to the vultures". I told him with an angry voice .he stood up from his seat and moved closer to me,

"Just give me the land and all this will be over".he spoke up while staring at me. I looked at him and saw that he was really serious. But I will never give to his demands.

"Two days I'll give you." I will give you two days to return my people, or else the blood of rain Will fall on you ". I spoke those words win a serious note .he stares at me for a moment before looking away and went back to his seat,

"Then I will be waiting for you "he replied.

I chuckled at his words before going back to my seat

"When last did you hear from your family". I asked with a devilish smile on my face.the moment I said that one words, I noticed how uncomfortable he became.

"You can't find my family".he replied with confidence

I chuckled before replying him

"I believe you haven't heard about me before you even thought of becoming my enemy."you should have asked first ". I looked at him and noticed he was becoming uncomfortable and restless. I stood up from the chair and walk over to him,

"I just changed my mind, I want to see my people before night fall, or else you will be greeted by the dead bodies of your family". I said those words and walked out on him.

I climbed the horse and went back to the palace,

When I got to the palace I went straight to the camp.I looked around but couldn't see Melanie or the green eye boy

"Are these are the villagers ". I asked

"Yes, emperor".one of the guards responded

Then and there I realized that Melanie was captured with the others. Immediately I felt anger run through my blood and couldn't wait until night fall.

I left the camp and went back to chambers, but for some strange reason I was restless.
