CHAPTER FORTY

Today is the day that Elena will get back to attend school after what happened to her, and after Mr. Vaughn told her not to attend school for a while until the expulsion ends, and for all those times that she didn’t attended school, Mrs. Valle and her other subject teachers was the one who is going to her penthouse to bring her the lessons.

And also through all those days, she also noticed that her security became tight, and she had a bad feeling about it. Though she don’t want to conclude anything, but her instincts is screaming at her to find about it, and that’s what she is planning to do.

As she arrived at the school, the stares that the students giving to her made her uneasy, that made her pace passed towards her classroom.

She withdraw a heavy sigh as she seated to her seat before she took the book she had been reading this week, and she didn’t notice Ella approaching her.

“You did a great job, kicking those thugs out.” Ella said as soon she seated on the vacant desk beside Elena.

Elena halt from closing her bag as she heard Ella, and turn to face her, before she get back again for closing her bag and placing her book on her desk.

“Are you okay?” She asked to Ella.

While her attention is the book that she is holding to ease her uneasy feeling, that cause of Ella approaching her.

She doesn’t really know to speak with her, for she know that Ella hated her and she already told her that, at the same spot that they were seating.

She heard Ella chuckle a that made her turn her gaze on her.

“I still hate you.” Ella answered instead.

“But, thank you because your are the reason why Lana had been expelled, they such a pain in the ass.” Ella said again, releasing an annoyed sigh.

Elena smiled at the sight that she can see on Ella’s face. She  can see relief as she withdraw that annoyed sigh. She can also feel that Ella is really a person, even though Ella told her that she hated her.

“What are you looking at?” Ella asked as she notice Elena is staring at her.

“Nothing.” She replied and turn her gaze to her book.

“Psh.”

Ella hissed before leaving her to transfer of her own chair, and at exact time the bell rang indicating that the class will going to start.

The school day was good, as for Elena. Her schoolmates might making her uneasy by their stares but, she was glad that no one is picking out on her.

Days passed quickly, and her days were good, no nightmares, and Lena that is coming out nor she dreamed, but her guilt from those innocent people that Lena killed is still lingering on her mind and she had thought it from time to time, and in order to overcome them atleast she asked her grandpa to help Sanya and Candice’s family.

For according to what she read on the file the two families had undergoing on a business bankruptcy, that Sanya and Candice father’s owned in partnership, that also explained her two late schoolmates friendship.

And as for their deaths, she had found out that Lena had hid it so well, that Sanya’s death is murder and suicide, but it wasn’t her name was on the case but a girl named Jillian, one of those three that had die form Lena.

According to the file, Jillian is under a drug influence that time that leads her to kill Sanya brutally, and took her life after, for all the finger prints on the murder weapon was pointed to Jillian after finding her fingerprints in it.

As for Candice, the case said, it was a suicide due to a excessive stress from her parents having a divorce, the case also said that Candice is harming herself whenever she is having a stressful event. And that’s what the investigator the one that is pointing of the cause of Candice death.

Elena doesn’t know how Lena did that, or she already knew those things before she ended their lives, or it was all coincident, that’s what she don’t know, and she also want to find out.

Her grumbling stomach, had cut her thoughts. She forgot that she had skip her lunch after being busy from finishing the book that she had recently bought.

She was about to stood up on the chair when Ian arrived with a mixed fruits in a bowl, that made her glee as soon as she saw her favorite strawberries mixed in it.

“You skip you lunch, Mr. Vaughn will be mad if he will find out.” Ian said while placing the bowl of fruits infront of Elena.

Elena was about to speak to thank Ian but it was cut when the doorbell rang.

“Stay here, it must be the food that I ordered.” Ian informed.

Elena felt like her ears clapped as she heard what Ian said and gleefully pushed Ian to rush downstairs to check it, for whenever Ian will going to have food delivered, lasagna will never be missing, which is her favorite.

She can say that she can eat lasagna everyday, but she will never get enough of it. Mr. Vaughn also told her that she was having the same favorite as her Daddy Sander, and as for fruits she had also the same favorite as her Mommy Selena who also loved strawberries so much.

Excitedly, she patiently waited to Ian while munching her the strawberries and continuing reading, but 2 minutes passed Ian didn’t went upstairs that made her brows knotted.

What took him so long? She though and stopped what is doing and decided to check on Ian downstairs. Her brows continued to knotted as she heard someone talking downstairs. Elena slowly took her paced downstairs and as soon as she put her foot on the first floor she stilled.

Bruise, and blood is freely flowing at the person she is looking, while Ian was trying to support her not to collapse.

Elena didn’t know what to react she was stilled in horror as she saw her blood dripping from her hand that holds her stomach.

“W-What is h-happening here!?” she asked as soon as she found her voice but it was trembling.

Elena, saw Ian stilled as he heard her voice and turn to face her, and so the girl that is he supporting.

“Elena…” The girl uttered weakly.

Elena rushed to the two and gasped how severe the wound more closely, and stare at her widen eye.

“D-Dana what h-happened?!” she asked.
