Rachel's POV
"Rachel! On your right!"
We're currently having volleyball practice, well only me. Hara is sitting at the bleachers with her laptop being the total tech geek she is which I sometimes wonder why can't she ace her grades.
Since finals just passed I'm currently focusing on our big game. Our school got selected for the nationals for the winter volleyball games against schools all around Korea. Being the libero of the team I have to do my role perfectly.
The ball came to me as I caught it perfectly towards my team player, making sure the ball doesn't hit the ground. After like 3 hours we finally wrapped up as I jogged towards Hara who gave me my water bottle, I gulped down half of it and cooled down my body with stretching.
"Hurry up before the sun goes down" Hara ushered me to the girl’s locker room. You see, she wanted to make another video saying she wants to explore the mansion and being the great friend I am I have to accompany her. So taking a quick shower and changing into my clothes we went to my bike again and dashed towards the forest. I persuaded her to take the bike to the mansion too since I'm tired from practice so she agreed.
Hara took out her camera which I noticed that she's been recording since I was practicing too. This girl seriously. When we arrived in front of the mansion Hara dashed inside as I just followed behind her, we decided to go upstairs to check the rooms and all.
As Hara was busy checking one of the rooms I decided to walk down the halls humming a tune. I felt like something just went past behind me and I quickly turned around.
What the hell was that?
I continued walking and this time I heard faint whispers. Okay this is getting creepy, where the hell is Hara? I went towards the room Hara was in when I heard her scream.
Panic filled me as I ran towards the room only to see Hara pinned against the wall by a guy. "Let her go!" Being the i***t I was as the guy turned his attention towards me, I widened my eyes seeing his orbs glowing bright red. But let's not forget that sharp fang from his mouth.
Vampire?
Vampires don't exist!
Hara was choking since the guy was straggling her "Let my friend go now!" I said walking towards him, he let go of her making Hara drop on the ground coughing. The man or vampire whatever he is stalked towards me as I backed away slowly.
"S-stay away" I stammered, my eyes looking around the room quickly to find something to fight this thing. I saw a vase and grabbed it, but the man only slapped my hand making the vase fall from my grip.
"YAHHHHH!"
I saw Hara running towards the man with a metal rod that I have no idea where she find, she hit the man with the rod on the head. Expecting him to fall down instead he just turned around, I used this opportunity to kick him where the sun don't shine as he fell down with a hiss.
Grabbing Hara by the hand we both ran out from the room and dashed down the hallways. We heard the vampire hiss behind us as we speed up our pace, but stopped when another vampire appeared in front of us. He was black haired and tall, his eyes sent chills down my spine.
"What should we do?" Hara whispered behind me as I gulped. I don't even know what to do too "You tell me about vampire thingy. What do they hate?" I whispered at her "Um... Garlic" Hara said making me glare at her "Do we even have garlic at this moment?" I asked her, ridiculous at her suggestion.
Who the hell carries garlic around them?
"Uh... A cross! Rachel you have cross necklace" Hara pointed. I do, but will that thing work? Well, let's find out. I pulled the cross necklace and threw it at the vampire, it hit his face but didn't do anything. He didn't flicnh or hiss or anything, but it did distracted him a bit.
Both Hara and I sprinted past him running down the stairs as we made it to the entrance. We went to my bike and not bothering to wear the helmet as we just zoomed away from the forest.
We arrived at town and parked near a shop where there's still people walking around. "What the hell was that?" I asked Hara.
"Vampires. They're real" Hara said with wide eyes at me. "Whatever it is it's free and we shouldn't go there again" I told her seriously, luckily Hara agreed. "I got that all on tape" Hara said. "Cmon, let's just get home" I said.
Hara will be staying over at my place tonight since her parents are out of town for a few days. You see both of our parents are busy people. It's either me staying at hers or her staying at mine. It’s a win-win situation.
But what I learned today is that vampires do exist. And they're hella scary.
