Chapter 5: Jasmine's Rights

Jasmine was pacing around her room, looking at things, her hands were shaking, and her body felt freeze. She felt nervous as a result of what had happened to Sarah.

She was concerned about what might happen to Sarah because she bled from a while back.

'You didn't mean it that way, Jasmine!' She was thinking to herself to ease what she was feeling at the time.

She was well aware in her mind that she was to blame for what had happened to Sarah. As a result of their conversation, she was unable to manage her anger at the time, and she didn't even bother to consider what she'd done.

Because of what had happened, she sat up in bed and put her palm out of her face. The only thing she did was question herself if there would be any harm done to the child in her belly.

She couldn't sleep because she couldn't stop thinking about Sarah and what had happened to her. Kendrick hasn't returned since he took Sarah to the hospital.

She was interested in knowing about Sarah's condition, but she knew there was nothing she could do. Kendrick snatched all the smartphones from the hands of everyone in the house.

After barely two or three hours of sleep, Jasmine awoke. She had only barely gotten out of bed when the door to his room slammed shut.

She instantly sat up in bed and noticed her husband, Kendrick, looking at her with his eyes glazing over.

For her, it was the first time she had ever seen her husband with that particular expression on his face. Her whole body was trembling with fear at the time.

Kendrick walked to go to Jasmine rapidly, his gaze fixed on the young woman's face.

"How's Sarah, Kendrick?" Jasmine inquired, her voice stuttering.

As an alternative to responding, Kendrick smacked Jasmine across the face.

Jasmine's eyes widened as a smack from Kendrick caught in her cheek, causing her eyes to tear up as she realized what had happened.

"Is it possible that you're content now, Jasmine?! You're delighted that Sarah has misplaced our child!" Kendrick came up to her and yelled at her.

Jasmine sprung to her feet immediately as a result of what Kendrick had said to her.

"I'm sorry," she mumbled, her voice breaking with regret.

"I didn't intend for that to happen," she said. "It just happened."

"Unintentionally? You didn't mean to upset Sarah, did you? You didn't intend to run over her and slap her, weren't you?" He asked sarcastically to her.

"Because of my anger, Kendrick, I didn't think about her health a while ago. You can't hold it against me if something like that happens because that woman is simply your mistress!" she confronted him.

"You're right, Jasmine, but you're well aware that I've wanted a child for a very long time! However, as a result of your actions, it is no longer there!" Kendrick responded to what she said.

"Kendrick, we'll give it another shot! All that remains is for us to wait for the birth of our future child!" She shared her thoughts on him and offered her recommendation.

"Wait? Because of your condition, Jasmine, we are unable to wait! Because you are a worthless woman, you will never be able to have children." Kendrick responded to her that it hurts her feelings.

She felt pain in her heart as a result of what Kendrick had said to her.

"Because of what you did, Jasmine, you'll have to pay for everything!" Kendrick exclaimed to her.

When Kendrick started to exit the room, Jasmine snatched his arm and pulled him back in.

" Let's get our relationship back on track, Kendrick," she begged him to reconsider.

Kendrick approached her, and he retaliated by pushing her hard. Jasmine was sitting on the floor, and her ass caught him due to the ferocity with which the push was delivered.

"There's no good connection between us, Jasmine, because, first and foremost, you're not the lady I want to be with; you're simply a dumb woman who I played about, thinking that someone would fall in love with you!" Kendrick yelled at her.

She took a step forward to approach him.

"But what about the vows we made when we were married?" She came up to him and asked him a question.

"Everything I told you about our wedding was a lie; it was all an act! I've already stated that the Diamond Agency is the only thing I'm after in terms of tracking you down." Kendrick responded to her question.

She was upset by what Kendrick said to her, but she didn't express her feelings.

"Didn't you even love me, Kendrick?" She came up to him and asked him a question.

"No, and that will never happen!" Kendrick's harsh response to her question.

"If that's the case, get out of this house!" Jasmine yelled at him.

"Why should I leave? This is also my property! Because we're married, whatever is yours is also mine!" Kendrick responded to her.

" It will never happen again because we are going to separate, whether you want it or not!" She confidently addressed him.

"Then, give me the Diamond Agency, and I'll divorce you, but only if you do! No divorce will take place as long as the Diamond Agency isn't named after me, as we have already discussed this topic!" Kendrick responded to her.

Jasmine didn't say anything in response to Kendrick's words. She needs to speak with his attorney, and she needs to put everything back together!

"Can you tell me where you're going?" Kendrick enquired about Jasmine but received no response.

Jasmine stepped out of her room without saying anything. Following him closely, Kendrick dragged her by her hair as he closed the distance between them.

"Kendrick, please let me go! I need to speak with my attorney!" Jasmine yelled commands at him from behind him.

"You won't be able to get out of here! You will only be able to get out if you follow my instructions! " Kendrick addressed him in this way.

Kendrick tugged Jasmine's hair.

She simply closed her eyes as a result of the discomfort of her tweaking.

Kendrick escorted Jasmine back inside the room, shut the door, and flung her to the ground.

She rose to her feet and prepared to leave the room, but Kendrick stopped her.

"Get me out of here as soon as possible! Kendrick, no matter what you do, you will never be able to get anything out of me!" Jasmine yelled at him.

Jasmine was hit in the stomach by Kendrick's fist, which he couldn't stop himself from doing.

She was completely devastated by the force with which Kendrick had hit her in the stomach.

"You won't be able to get out of here! I'll make your life a living hell until you comply with my demands! " Kendrick addressed her directly.

She collected her strength, and when she stood up, she faced Kendrick, and suddenly, she smacked him hard in the face.

In the aftermath of Jasmine's slap on Kendrick, he found himself with his hand stuck in his cheek.

"I'm not going to allow you to do what you want! You have no right to assert ownership over something that is not yours, Kendrick!" Jasmine let out a yell.

Jasmine mumbled something, and Kendrick clutched her two arms tightly in response. She was in pain due to his firm grip on her, but she remained calm.

"Get yourself ready, Jasmine! If you do not give me what I desire, you will be subjected to the cruelty of my hands!" he warned her.

" I am not afraid, Kendrick. You know me, I can fight what is right! " she answered, looking at him thoughtfully.

" If that so, let's find out who will be going to surrender first, Jasmine! "
