A month later after getting custody of Macy, it’s the day of the commitment ceremony for me, Jasper, and Harper. It’s only 8 in the morning and am completely swamped in things to do. As I’m in the bathroom brushing my teeth, Macy is in the bathtub behind me splashing water and singing. She has become so comfortable here and it’s all I can ask for. The guys love her so much and she loves them just as much, always calling them Jasper Bear and Harper Bear.
When I’m done brushing my teeth, I go down the hall and knock on Harper’s door. I frown when I don’t get an answer. Harper has been acting so weird lately and I can’t pinpoint why. He stays at work a little later and leaves a little earlier each day. When I’ve asked him about it, he just says he has a large work load and leaves it at that.
