Lauryn was still struggling to get accustomed to the empty apartment, and the opportunity to grab dinner and have some drinks with Anita after work were welcome diversions into her new routine. Good food, good wine, and a great friend to whom she could tell everything. Almost everything. She had been impatient all day, making the day even longer and more laborious than usual.
