Chapter Four I’ve been so perfect the last few days that I hardly recognize myself. Everything is going smoothly at the office. Of course, I’m not caught up; that will take a couple of months yet, but I’m on the right track and things are starting to organize themselves. A little discipline. Locksley was right—that’s all it takes, a little discipline. I can hang on; I can do this—the little mantra repeats automatically and I’m soothed, at least for awhile. Now, far from the office and that terror, I lie in his bed waiting.
