I have been restless since yesterday when I learned what happened to my mate, whom I refused to accept. Somehow, I feel guilty, but what’s bothering me more is the pain that I am feeling now. I, somehow, rejected her. I never marked her, and neither did we mate, but the mate's pull on her was already this strong.
“Beta Gani, we need to do something to help, Adamantem. But I don’t want to expose myself. Do it for me.” I told my Beta, who looked at me shaking his head. He knew how proud I could be and hardheaded.
