Adamantem’s POV
I
“So, what happened, Adamantem?” my father whispered, asking me the moment I sat down again beside him.
“Nothing yet, my Alpha father,” I whispered back with a quiver. How can I tell him that Alpha Eleo has already rejected me? I cannot just tell him now. I bowed my head, not wanting him to see the lies in my eyes.
”Ada, what will I do now?” I asked my wolf through my mind, hoping she had something to offer as a solution. But hurt as she was like me, Ada did not reply. She kept her silence.
I was devastated, “Could anyone at least love me and treasure me? Isn’t it that the Moon Goddess made this mate bond to create more love between fated wolves? But why is it that it seems this mate bond is a mere word, a lie; just like my Alpha Father to my Omega mother and Alpha Eleo to me? I could not get it, Ada. I don’t want to believe in the Moon Goddess anymore. She wanted to take everything from me. Did she hate me this much to prevent me from being happy?” I whined, hoping Ada would answer me, but she kept her silence, still.
“Adamantem, are you listening? I told you to follow now Alpha Eleo, he seemed to be going outside. If he goes home without you doing something and getting his attention, you know what is going to happen to you and your mother!” my Alpha father’s words shook me and when I looked in the direction of Alpha Eleo, I saw him and his companion, walking out of the function hall already. I panicked and stood up hurriedly.
“Ada, if I need to beg him, I will. He needs to accept me as his mate. Please help me, Ada and talk to his wolf, I know you two might have had a mind link already,” I beg Ada, my wolf, as I walked fast to chase Alpha Eleo and his companion out of the function hall.
To my delight, Ada answered, “I will Adamantem. I will try my best. Alpha Eleo’s wolf is Ely, and he talked to me a while ago. He too, did not conform to what Alpha Eleo did to you.”
“Thank you, Ada,” I murmured while almost running now. Alpha Eleo and his companion were almost on their way to the hotel’s exit door.
“Adamantem, you need to make a scene to further attract Alpha Eleo’s attention,” Ada said, urging me to do something nasty, which I could not yet fully understand.
“What will I do, Ada,” I said, confused.
“If you will not shout his name now, we will not catch him. Shout his name, run toward him and act to be fainting in front of him. Go, Adamantem, do as I told you!”
I was hesitant to do what Ada wanted me to do, but I had no other choice.
“Alpha Eleo!” I shouted his name at the top of my lungs and when he turned his head toward me, I ran as fast as I could, not minding the pain in my feet caused by my high-heeled shoes. I saw him stiffen with a furrowed forehead while looking at me with disbelief in his deep blue eyes.

I ran more when I saw him stop from walking, and when I reached him, I called his name once more.
“Alpha Eleo,” I murmured as I slowly let myself fall down, acting to have been fainting. I closed my eyes with fear that he would not catch me.
I thought my body would hit the floor without him doing something, but to my pleasure, Alpha Eleo grabbed my waist, preventing my body from hitting the floor. I continued my acting and did not dare open my eyes. I felt my body being carried for a few moments, and then he put me down on a soft bed mattress. I was wondering where he brought me.
“Beta Gani, ask the hotel receptionist if they have a doctor here who can attend to her.” I heard Alpha Eleo say, making me learn that his companion was his pack’s Beta, whom he called, Beta Gani.
I heard footsteps thereafter and then a woman’s voice, “What happened here, Alpha Eleo? I am one of the hotel’s Company nurses.” The nurse's voice seemed to have been made sweeter to attract the attention of my beloved mate and I frowned and growled unintentionally. Ada reprimanded me because of that. Good thing, Alpha Eleo thought about it otherwise.
“Hey, do you feel some pain or whatever?” he said as he gently tapped my cheek.
“Please let me check on her Alpha Eleo.” I heard the nurse say that made my beloved mate move away from me. I felt frustrated.
The nurse checked on my pulse, my forehead, and my heart beating. Well, my heart beats erratically now after I felt Alpha Eleo’s big hand on my cheeks, so I hope this nurse will find something wrong with me.
“I believe she is just fine, Alpha Eleo. Aside from her fast heart beating, which is somewhat unusual, everything about her is fine,” the nurse said sweetly again.
“I see, that’s good. Thank you, nurse,” It was the voice of Alpha Eleo.
“We can bring her to the hotel’s clinic, Alpha Eleo if you would like for her to have a little rest,” the nurse suggested, to which I hoped my beloved Alpha would agree and come with me there.
But he answered, otherwise. “No, it is better to call his Alpha Father. His father is Alpha Theodore of the Green Meadows Pack.”
I became frantic when I heard what Alpha Eleo had said, as he might just leave me, just like that. I then acted to have awakened and opened my eyes.
It was his deep blue eyes that first caught my eyes. I noticed that there was no fierceness in them, rather his eyes showed concern and worry.
“Alpha Eleo,” I mumbled shyly. I looked into him with my most gloomy eyes and tears started to fall from my eyes.
He quickly knelt beside me. Now, I know that he put me on one of the long couches in the reception area of the hotel.
“Hey, are you alright?” he asked with a worrying expression.
“Alpha, I am your mate, please, please just take me wherever you go, away from my cruel father,” I said in a very soft voice, not wanting everyone to hear me but only him.
He furrowed, and his eyes looked at me icily, “Another tactic to hook me?” he murmured in my ears and thereafter he stood up and walked away. His Beta glanced at me with pity in his eyes before he followed his Alpha.
“Adamantem!” I heard the loud voice of my Alpha Father that brought a shiver in my spine.
