“Tell me again now. What did you just say?” Alpha Eleo was hovering now at me and his eyes were full of contempt while glaring at me. Chills ran down to the tips of my fingers and toes. I know, I might be looking like ash or worse like a bond paper in paleness now.
“I… I said you are a … jerk,” I said in a very low voice. My head was bent down as I did not want to see now his fiery eyes.
Then I heard his outburst of laughter. “Really? You have the guts to call me a jerk?”
I nodded but still kept my head bent, my eyes were focused on his big feet covered with gladiator’s type of sandals.
“If you are really that brave, Adamantem, then why are you not looking at me?” he said in a fiercer voice that made me feel more chills in my body.
