CHAPTER 16; Acceptance

Sandra pov
"Oh no! What should I do?
"Did I have to do something? Should I respond? What that f*ck! I don't know what to do."
I bet I am like a statue right now. I like how it feels and how it gives me a sensational feeling that I never had before, but I just don't know how to respond to this.
It's just a couple of seconds, but it seems it lasts for an hour. I guess this is the longest seconds that I ever had, even though it didn't last long for real, nor did his lips move.
Our eyes met when he distanced his face away from me. But he still stayed where he was.
"What happened? That's it?
What a shame. I was disappointed. "Oh Moon Goddess, please just can you just sink me under the ground now?, I feel like my shame is slowly disappearing because of this worldly desire."
My mind reacts to the opposite side of me.
I looked away because I cannot afford to face him anymore,out of shame. For sure, he was so disappointed in me.
But I don't want him to feel that I'm still keeping myself away from him, especially now that I only have to wait an hour before he turns me into his luna.
I have to give him all of myself, no matter how shy I feel. As I turned back my gaze at him, he took a small box from his suit and opened it in front of me and my lips parted in amazement when a sparkling diamond necklace was revealed to me. I looked up waiting for any words, but instead he took it out of the box and stood behind me to put it on my neck.
"This is my gift to you, a sign of my acceptance of you as my Luna.
He said seriously then. My fingers grabbed the small diamond that was hanging on my neck.
"Wow." I said softly while looking at our reflection in the mirror.
"Did you like it?
He asked behind my ear.
I faced him before I answered.
"I liked it, thank you."
I'm not sure if I'm worth enough for this but it just makes me feel so special, like saying that what he was showing me from the start and the way he treated me was so pure, just like this diamond pendant.
"But, I have nothing for you."
He just slightly shook his head.
He smiled and held me in my arms.
"Well' I have you."
Once again, blood ran to my face, so I slightly bowed down my head to hide it from him even though I knew I had no escape.
And then I just found myself trapped in his warm and tight embrace.
And the most rewarding of all, is his hug, which could remove all my doubts. I knew it even from the start, that he was the man I waited for to save me, his hug could erase all the pain.
I secretly smiled because of the overflowing emotions I have right now and so I buried my face in his chest like a child eager for love.
I felt him tighten his hug on me as if he didn't want to let me go.
He lowered his face to the side of my head and buried his face in my hair as if he wanted to take in all my scent.
I just wish this moment would last for a lifetime.

Meanwhile, together with his beta Cristof and his Luna Carla, Jack accepts his brother's invitation to attend his birthday.
He doesn't see any reason to reject it even though, deep inside him, he doesn't want to.
Two hours before they left the pack...
"Father, it's me." Jack said as he was done,, knocking at the door.
"Come in." Answered the old former alpha.
"I'm here to convince you again, father."
"I already told you my answer. Just let your brother know my greetings.
Jack sighed quietly after hearing his father.
By the time he received the invitation yesterday, he immediately informed the former alpha but he refused to go with him.
In truth, he already knew that she would decline the invitation, but he still had to let her know that he would attend his brother's invitation.
After hearing his father's refusal again, he immediately left the room.
"Why doesn't he want to come?
He stopped for a moment when Carla met him in the hallway.
He frowned instantly when he saw the curiosity in her eyes.
"Is he mad at your brother? Carla asked more as they walked away from the former alpha's room together.
"What else did he say? Why doesn't he want to come?
Jack stopped walking and so did Carla.
Carla shut her mouth as she could see how annoying the alpha was.
"Shut the f**k!" Jack emphatically said.
It was weak, but Jack's words were strong, indicating that he was disgusted by his wife's behavior.
Carla immediately fell silent, as if all the words she was about to say were blocked in her throat.
And no matter how annoyed she was because of Jack repeatedly humiliating her, she could do nothing but obey him.
She just followed Jack silently as Jack continued to walk.

And now that they are currently on the way to the Gurierro pack, the silence between them is even more intense and Carla is even more uncomfortable because Cristof is their driver for the day.
When she found out that Cristof was Jack's beta, she was even more annoyed with his state.
But still she didn't bother to ask how Cristof became Jack's beta. She wasn't interested in knowing.
Even so, she put aside the annoyance she had with the two men that were with her now. The idea of seeing the most famous alpha again was enough to excite her.
But she didn't have any idea what kind of situation was waiting for her by the time she met her former servant, the woman she tortured and insulted so much.
