I spent the next hour talking with Raven and getting to know her. She really was a lovely girl and if she could somehow overcome her past, I had no doubts in my mind she could be a strong woman and mate for Mykel. Though I was wrong about one thing, she wasn’t a victim she was a survivor. I had promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone of what we spoke about and that included Mykel, though I felt guilty for keeping it a secret from him.
