Her Heartless Alpha

A beautiful one.

It's been about two days since She last saw Adrian. Isabella was walking back home after going to see Jess and dave.

It's been two days since she ran away from Adrian, and hasn't seen him since then. She shook her head, trying to get her thoughts straight. There's no use in thinking about him! No use at all!

As she walked past the Alley, she took her eyes away before it would wander again. She would not remember what happened that night! Ugh...!!

Then, her back prickled. She stopped walking and turned around to search behind her. There was no one there, infact everyone on the street was busy doing one thing or another. Yet...she felt like someone was watching her.

She hastened her steps, and as soon as she got home and into her room, she shut the door and turned on the lights. What was wrong with her? The smartest thing she could have done was to ignore, behave like she didn't notice anything and just continue to walk normally till she had gotten home. She's watched in movies were people are caught faster whenever they noticed and began to act with haste.

But, she had done that because the night had felt like THAT night. Someone had been watching her, and she had behaved like it was nothing...and nine months later she was giving birth to Dave Vaughn.

Never knowing who the father was. Something she can never forgive herself for. What would she do if he grows up and asks her? The truth...she would have to tell him the truth.

The next day Bella was at the mall with Nancy shopping for new clothes. Nancy was the person who usually dressed her up whenever she was going to see Adrian that is. But she had suddenly walked in today and demanded that they go shopping because Alexa always went shopping for new things too.

Lucky her.

Bella couldn't remember when last she was at the mall.

Expensive shopping like this had never been for her, so she always looked away whenever she was passing by the mall. But look, Nancy right now had her two hands filled up with so many stuff and she wasn't even done.

Worse, the price tag of each was gonna make Bella faint anytime soon. They got clothes, jewelries, shoes, bags and more bags, make-up, deodorants and many more.

"Do you plan to spend everything in one day? " Bella was beginning to ask when she saw it was getting too much.

" Alexa doesn't cares now, does she?" Nancy was saying as she tried out a ring on Bella's finger " she loves everything! She buys everything that catches her taste."

" She's gonna finish her money if she keeps it up! That's enough for me, Nancy"

" Fine, but we are buying this ring it looks good on you!"

Walking out of the mall with lots of bags, they shoved them into the car and took their seats. Bella now had her eyes focused on the window just watching everything happening around her.

Then, her Neck prickled again. Someone was watching her. This time within the comfort and safety of the car, she didn't hesitate to look around for any suspicious thing. It could even be that what she had felt last night and today could just be a flux...

Till she confirmed it.

There was a man standing right across the street, leaning on a wall. He was putting on some casual clothes, and looking so normal yet he had this twisted look on his face when they locked eyes. His hair was brown, and he had a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

Then, he stood properly and took the cigarette out of his mouth, and his lips move. With all this distance, she was so surprised she could hear him loud and clear, " Aren't you just a beautiful one?" He had said And at that moment their car sped off, leaving him behind.

Leaving her in shock.

She was still pondering over it till they got back to the house, and Nancy was helping her take everything up from the boot of the car. With loads of shopping bags in their hands, they both walked into the house only for Isabella to see the surprise of her life sitting on the couch laughing with her brother like they were best buds.

She almost dropped the bags.

James was already introducing her to him, "And there she is. My one and only little sister that you've always wanted to meet, Alexa "

The stranger stood up from his seat and faced Bella.

"Alexa, Meet a friend of mine that just returned into town some days ago. One of my long time buds, Zayn Ross " James added.

" Oh wow, it's nice to meet you Mr Ross" Bella gave her a tight smile, trying to keep the other look off her face.

"Call me Zayn " he said smoothly.

Yeah right Zayn!! I just saw him standing across the street some minutes ago so how did you get here so fast? Do you have a twin brother or something??! Bella wanted to yell, but it's better to keep it to herself and act like nothing happened, " Yes of course. Let me go drop these stuffs, gimme a minute!" She smiled at both men before she headed for her room.

Nancy had already dropped the first badge and wasn't in the room any longer so the moment Bella walked in, she quickly flung the door back close and turned the locks. Zayn, or whatever his name was...

He was even putting on the same clothes she had seen him with before, so there's no doubt about it.

She decided not to think too much about her, and not embarrass James so she had to go back out there.

She stood in front of her mirror first, "It could be a coincidence. They happen all the Time. Maybe I didn't see the other guys face clearly...They happen all the time! "

With that, she headed back out to meet the guest. When she got to the sitting room, James wasn't there, just Zayn.

The minute she came into view, she felt his sharp gaze on her, but pretended as if everything was fine. Why was he staring at her that way? She took a seat opposite of him, " Did I take too long? " She asked softly.

He shook his head, "You're just in time. James just left a second ago "

" So I assume you'll make me keep you company till he returns"

" Well you can't just leave a guest hanging, can you?"

" I guess not" She agreed with a nod, " James said you've been out of town for a while now. Where have you been living then?"

Something flickered in his eyes, and Bella would have sworn they changed shape for a second there, but it must have been her imagination...or was it? " I wasn't out of time, I've always been here "

" Huh? That's not what James thinks..."

" That's what I made him think. It's all part of the plan to get closer to you, Alexa"

She still didn't let it show on her face, " Then I assume you were the man I saw when we got out of the shopping mall a while ago?"

" Aren't you a beautiful one, Alexa??"

Now her legs were beginning to give her away, "Who are you? "

" An Alpha!"

"I've heard that before "

" Yes. Your boyfriend is too "

" What?"

" Unfortunately He's not gonna live so long anymore. His era would soon come to an end, and his chapter would finally close" Zayn crossed his legs and took a sip out of his drink again.

" What point are you trying to make? I don't believe anything you just said. There's no such a thing as Alpha...the supernatural does not exist, Zayn! What exactly do you want?" That was a lie...she knew that.

" You still have a lot to learn Alexa. Having that man as your mate... You haven't quite seen anything yet, but I always get what I want"

" And I ask again, what do you want?"

"To steal what belongs to him. A slow kill always does the job right "

" Who...are you even talking about? Steal what from who?"

" Steal The Alpha's mate from him, and now that I've seen her..." He gave her a once over, and a stupid smile spread across his face. And just like that, those eyes of his that she thought transitioned the other time did again, right in front of her eyes...and his pupils turned Blue... Diamond blue " I'll make her mine. What do you think about that?"

The tension in the room had grown so thick, and Bella felt like scampering away from here. The deadly look in his eyes was one thing, the scared look on her face was another. It's only natural for her to look scared of him.

She needed to gain control of herself again.

"We'll see about that! " She fisted her hands.

"See about what? " James came walking out of the corner.

Bella immediately changed faces, smiling as she looked at James "Your friend here says that he can beat me in a horse race " Isa improvised quickly. James had told her once that Alexa had been very good when it came to horse racing, and one of the Best ones.

"Oh, I can beat you " Zayn said with so much confidence shimmering in his eyes that had gone back normal.

"No you can't! " Bella stood up from her seat and began walking away, "And I don't need to prove anything. You'll see very, very soon. I'm stronger than you think! "

She wasn't talking about horse racing anymore, but that's what they wanted James to think, right? Oh poor James, who knows whether the man was manipulating him or something. As soon as she got into her room, she locked the door again and jumped into the shower.

She needed the shower. She needed to calm the hell down!
