Having followed her around and waited for Axel to give up, I finally have her here in my arms. Goddess knows that Axel is her father, and we have seen firsthand how he is with Morgan, so I understand. As a result, I knew it would either be an act of Morgan, as we are calling it, or that we would have to hide her away from him and be sneaky so that we all had enough time to ensure that we were indeed fated. But just being close to her, I can tell she is it. We found her and it seems she was looking for us as well.
How lucky are we? She is gorgeous, just absolutely stunning. Long dark hair almost black but not quite, with pale flawless skin, a tiny stature just like her mother, and I swear she is at least a foot shorter than us with the most striking eyes I have ever seen. Honestly, I don’t even know how to call the color but it is like this super light, almost golden shade of color with little flecks of green peppered around the edges. Her lips don’t even get me started. They are a gorgeous shade of red and she tastes like the sweetest strawberry I have ever tasted.
After we stepped through the portal that Erik called upon, that leads to our invisible home. I still am in awe of how we created it. We snapped this baby into existence by accident. We had no idea we could do it. In spite of that, we talked about the need to find a place where we could be safe without being discovered. Erik snapped because he had an idea and there it was. We truly lost so many powers when we left these lands.
Yes, of course, I understand it was out of necessity, and we have much greater control of nature now than we did in Cibalon. However, my fear is that the portals will grow more and more unstable, and then who knows what will happen? They are already so unstable. We have been trying to monitor them and see if they are truly random or if there is a pattern. But if there is one we haven’t found it. We are still exploring what we can and can’t do, but some things have been very handy, like snapping things into existence.
Anyway, back to our glorious fated mate, or beloved, as she called us. It’s so amazing just holding her that I can’t even fathom putting her down. I just want to keep holding her.
“This place is amazing. Did you guys make this?”
“Yeah it was accidental, but what a wonderful accident,” Erik answered
“You can put me down now. I would like to look around.” She said, looking up at me.
I grunted and sat her down, my whole body seeming to cry out the moment her heat leaves my body.
“What do you mean, it was an accident?”
“Well, we were discussing if Morgan would step in or if we would need to sneak you away, and I had a random thought about building a house. I snapped my fingers, and poof, here it was.”
“You mean you couldn’t do that before?”
We both shook our heads. “No, apparently either the knowledge was forgotten when we left or we are so connected to this realm that it’s impossible to do it there.” I said, “We are still figuring it all out while keeping an eye on the portals.”
“This place is absolutely amazing and no one can find it?”
“No one but Zia. It’s how she knew we were close by,” I said, smiling as I watched her.
“Ok, well, I guess we should all sit down to talk about how this works? I’ve been looking for my beloved for a while. Can’t say I was expecting two of them. I have no clue how any of this works.”
Erik motioned to the couch, and we all took a seat.
“For us, it’s normal we have always shared everything, so it’s not hard at all.”
“Doesn’t anyone ever get jealous? I worry that maybe I spend more time with one than the other and honestly, I don’t want anyone to feel slighted.”
We looked at each other and smiled. “Nope, because if one feels like the other has been grabbing all the attention, we work it out between us and come up with a plan. But jealousy is a nonissue. It might seem strange to some, but we have always been close. We still share a bed. We always just assumed we would share a mate because we are identical twins.”
“Well, at least there are no issues between you guys. I, however, get very jealous of other females just a warning.” She said, narrowing her eyes at us.
Chuckling, Erik pulls her onto his lap. “We share with each other Bella, not with others. There will never be anyone but you, so don’t even worry about that at all. We might not get pain through the bond if we cheat, but the pleasure caused by another comes through it well enough. Never in any lifetime would we cause that kind of distress to you.”
Scooting closer to her, I pull her from Erik’s lap to mine, “Not only that, but we cherish the bond the same as your parents. You will never have to wonder if we love you. We will prove it every day forever.”
Thank you both for helping me to feel less nervous about all of this. But what if we are unable to have children? Would you still want me?"
The fear in her eyes is almost my undoing never in a million years had I ever considered that, but there is never a possibility that we wouldn’t want her. I place my hand on her chin and bring her eyes to mine.
“There will never be a time in our lives where we wouldn’t want you. If it is impossible, then there is adoption. But out of curiosity, what makes you think it won’t be possible?”
“It’s just that I am a hybrid. Even though as I matured, I became a vampire, there haven’t been enough noted cases of hybrids and the ability to have children.”
“But your mother had six kids? She is a vampire.”
“True, but she wasn’t always. Dad turned her after Eli because she had many complications and he said he wouldn’t risk losing her and she felt the same way. Dad has assumed it’s possible, but we just aren’t sure, which is why I wanted to make sure you both understood the risks of being my beloveds."
“It’s something that can be figured out later. There is no version of us that doesn’t include you,” Erik said to her.
“Ok, well, there is one more thing.” Somehow she seemed more nervous telling us this than anything else she has said so far.
“Ok?” we said in unison as Erik slid her back onto his lap.
“Do you guys always do this? I feel almost like a Yoyo,” she said, laughing.
“Yeah…sorry it’s just how we are. So that one more thing?” Erik said, smiling.
“Umm.. Yeah, so you know I’m a vampire and normally we … “
“Go ahead Bella, it’s ok,” I said rubbing her back
“Well, normally we feed from our beloved during, you know … just during.”
We both smiled. She is so adorable I could see by Erik’s eyes he adores her as much as I do.
“Bella, don’t be so embarrassed about it. When we realized you were our mate, we started asking questions. Greyson answered that one for us even though he looked really uncomfortable about answering it. That’s also not a problem, although we have wondered what will happen if you drink fae blood. But obviously, this will be revealed later, I am sure. Is there anything else beautiful?”
“How long will you live since I don’t think I can turn you?”
“We can live forever unless killed, but that’s pretty hard to accomplish, so don’t worry about that one.”
“Oh, thank the goddess, it wouldn’t have changed my decision, but I did fear I would outlive you both. Well, that’s all I had to ask. Questions for me?”
We looked at each other and smirked. “When can we complete the bond?” We asked in unison.
She smiled, and I saw the evil glint in her eye.
“Can anyone hear us in here?”
“No”
“Well, then what’s stopping you, boys? I accept you both with all my heart.”
