We are all so beaten up and felt defeated after today, in my opinion we lost a lot... I decide to drive us home to Mackenzie's Packhouse since everyone else was exhausted.
There is one thing that's been bugging me the whole time. How could Nate just betray Mackenzie like that? That's the whole reason for the Mate bond. They may have not completed the process, which isn't any of my business, but that might explain-
"Miles, just stop." Chaes growls at me. "Now's not the time to thing about that. Just try and comfort Mackenzie."
I agree and continue to drive. After driving for about 20 minutes we finally get to the house. I remove the keys out of the ignition and walk over to Mackenzie's side who is in the passenger's seat.
"It's okay, I got you." I tell her as she whimpers
