Chapter Seven:In no time, Dandelion managed her way to the roof. Now she could see the temple directly across the courtyard. The building remained dark, without a soul patrolling outside. Patrons from the Happy Harpy had spilled into the courtyard. Customers of all shapes and sexes slinked off into the shadows. She watched as all the locals gave the temple entrance a wide berth. Whatever stalked this city, the sheeple of this town instinctively sensed the danger the once-sanctuary to the Mother now represented.
