Chapter Ten:Magic and the associated effects, like the people who controlled it, were a many varied and splendid thing. In the magical world, one size did not fit all. Dullards the world over failed to understand that aspect of the craft. Dandelion had no time in her life to deal with their ignorance. One mage might cast a ball of force, and a flaming ball of energy would appear to obliterate the target. Ice, lightning, steam, all manner of magical powers a mage could call upon, given the target or need in self-defense. Dandelion was not a typical run-of-the-mill type of mage.
