I was in cloud nine when we got back to New York.
We were back in the office and Dane had been busy with work. Meanwhile, I helped him by checking the documents Jan had placed on his desk. I feed him the documents that needed his signature immediately and then bring back the papers to Jan for her to call the departments involved to pick them up.
Jan noticed the ring on my finger and congratulated me. She knew about the romance between me and her boss. Though she didn’t know it was fake at first. I knew Jan was for keeps when I found out she was quiet about her boss’ personal affairs. I liked her more and more every day.
