Chapter Twenty One

1189 Words
*Wyatt's POV* I am growing more impatient as time goes on. I need a plan and I need one quick. I haven’t heard from anyone in a couple days, and I would like to know what happened at the pack meeting that I was told would be held. I am hoping it will be easy to get Leah back. There is no need for violence when everything points to her wanting to be with me. I notice a car pulling up while trying to collect my thoughts. Allen's dad steps out of the car. "I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I needed to see what the pack would say and do before I came to speak with you." I notice no one is with him before speaking. "I am assuming since Leah is not with you that things did not go well." "We have a few issues, yes. Most of the pack agrees he needs to give the girl up. Unfortunately, unless there is an uprising they won’t go against their Alpha. Another problem is that Leah and Allen have now marked each other, and she has submitted to him." I can feel my blood begin to boil. "Why would she do that?" "It wasn’t her fault. Allen has this wolfsbane concoction that a witch makes for him that increases s*x drive and wolf instincts. She would lose all control of her will power and give into her wolfs desires." He says to me. "You do know this means I will kill your son. He has to die in order for the mark to go away." He smiles. "I know that. I am not sure who my son has turned into. It is not how he was raised. My wife and I were not mates. Allen never knew this. She submitted to me, and we had an arranged marriage. Our parents set it up for the better of our two packs. Now my son thinks it is okay to make his mate submit because I had mine. My wife was never my mate. I have never found mine. If killing him puts my pack back in good standing and doesn’t cause a war I am willing to let it happen. However, my daughter doesn’t get touched. She will take over as my Alpha once she gets her mate." I extend my hand to him. "You have a deal, when can we do this?" "That part is pretty easy. Allen plans to bring Leah to you so she can reject you. He plans to bring her tomorrow morning. You will have to challenge him, but I doubt he will have any problems taking you up on that challenge." "I can't wait. I will be ready." I say smiling. After our conversation he gets back in his car and heads back the way he came from. This time tomorrow I will finally have Leah back in my arms. Where she belongs. I know taking down Allen will be easy. He is cocky and has too big of an ego. I am fighting for love, and he is fighting for possession. *Leah's POV* In just a few short hours Allen is taking me to reject Wyatt. Tears form in my eyes. How am I going to do this? I want him as my mate, but no pack will ever accept me if I leave the mate who marked me. Maybe my parents but that's different they would never reject me. I bury my head into my pillow and begin to cry. I set out on my own to find my mate and I end up in this situation. Part of my blames my wolf. Instead of helping to protect me she has been caving into s****l desires because of that concoction Allen has made. The door opening bring my head up. "Good morning darling. Are you ready to go and reject your other mate?" He asks me. "Yes, Alpha." I say bitterly. "Good girl. I’ll let you get ready. Meet me downstairs in 10 minutes." I get to my feet and find an outfit. I go for a casual look of jeans and a pink t-shirt. I pull my hair up into a ponytail and head downstairs. Allen is waiting for me by the door. "Let's go" he says and grabs my hand. He leads me to the car and helps me in. We drive for about an hour before stopping. I see Wyatt come into view and my heart sinks. Allen smirks at him before getting out of the car. He comes to my side and grabs my hand helping me out of the car. He places his hand around the back of my neck possessively and leads me over to Wyatt. Wyatt lets out a growl. "Get your hands off of her." Allen laughs. "Can you not see that we have marked each other? She is now my mate and carries my mark." "I want to challenge you. A fight to the death." Wyatt says through gritted teeth. I look over at him and then back at Allen. Both have a fair share at beating the other one, but I know Allen is conniving and would do anything to not fight fair just so he can win. Allen thinks about this for a few seconds before smiling and nodding his head. "I’ll fight you to the death. If it means getting no more future issues with you trying to win back my mate." Allen looks at me. "Get on your knees and stay there until our fight is done." I look at Wyatt before looking at Allen. "Yes, Alpha." I say as I kneel down. Wyatt lets out a menacing growl. "How dare you treat her like that. You don't deserve her or any other mate." Wyatt shifts into his massive black wolf form, and I can't help but think of how well our wolves mesh together. Shortly after he shifts, Allen shifts. Allen is a reddish-brown wolf and a little bit smaller than Wyatt. They circle each other before Wyatt snaps at Allen first. Allen jumps back just missing the bite. Allen goes for his legs and causes Wyatt to fall to the ground. Allen wastes no time taking a bite at him and latches on to his side. Wyatt is able to shake him off. Wyatt grabs him by the tail and slams him into the ground. Wyatt gets on top and goes to grab his neck, but Allen uses his back legs to fling him off. Now Allen is on top of him and about to bite into Wyatt's neck. "STOP!" I shout. Allen falters and looks behind him giving Wyatt the advantage he needs to grab him by the neck and swing him into the ground. You hear a snap and Allen stops moving. Just like that Allen is no more. I feel the mate connection break with him, and I can feel the mark already fading. Wyatt comes rushing over to me and hugs me to him. I have never felt more safe. We are finally together again.
