Evelina’s POV  The plea fell from my lips too late. Or maybe it had just been irrelevant what I wanted and Gabe chose to ignore me. I watched in horror as he deftly flicked open the lighter and pressed it against his victim, setting the man’s body aflame. The man screamed in agony as flames licked his entire body that had been doused in alcohol. Gabe’s prey fell to the floor, writhing in pain. The smell of burning flesh filled the air and I felt my stomach turn. I was too stunned, too shocked, too horrified to do anything except watch the deadly blaze eat away at the man’s flesh. Smoke wafted up and hit the roof, setting off the fire alarm. The sprinklers came on, the man continued to writhe in pain, and through it all, Gabe stood there like the grim reaper.
