Chapter 3
Vincent cared for his family. Despite their strained relationship, he truly did. However, now that Lunar New Year was drawing nearer, he dreaded the inevitable reunion dinner with his family. He might only meet them once a year, but it was more than enough for him. There was nothing but awkward silence between them throughout dinner. It was so much worse after Victor had gotten married two years ago. Joy, his poor sister-in-law, had been stuck between them, trying to keep the mood as light and cheerful as possible. It had never worked out well.
