Chapter 8- Poisoning

" Eddy, Eddy! What's wrong?" I asked in panic as I rushed to him, he was on the floor clutching his stomach in pain and groaning.
" What's wrong? What happened? Talk to me," I asked but his response was to groan as he held my hand tightly.
" Hold on, I'll call an ambulance," I said as I quickly rushed out of the bathroom and picked up my phone and then I dialed the emergency number as I quickly rushed back to him.
" 118 What's your emergency?" The lady over the receiving end asked.
" I don't know what's happening, my boyfriend's on the floor and he keeps holding his stomach and groaning, I don't know what to do," I said as I ran my hand through Eddy's hair trying to calm him down.
" Please calm down, we'll send an ambulance immediately…tell me your location," She said and I quickly called out our location to her.
" Help is on the way, okay now can you tell me the symptoms he's having so you can perform a quick first aid before help comes," She said and I nodded but I realized she couldn't see me.
" He's holding the side of his stomach so tightly and he's sweating so much, I'm scared I don't know what to do,"
" Okay, it's going to be fine there's a seventy percent chance he's suffering from food poisoning," Food poisoning? What did he eat?
" Okay so here's what you can do, try to get him to drink water, make sure his head is placed comfortably so he doesn't start vomiting since he isn't doing that yet, and try to rub on his stomach,"
" Okay, okay, water," I quickly rushed out of the bathroom and went to take the water I had on my bedside table and then I rushed to him. I helped him stand as I slowly walked him to the bed then he sat down slowly with a groan.
" It's going to be okay baby, it's going to be okay," I gave him the water before I added two pillows under his head to make sure he was comfortable then I started rubbing his stomach hoping that it would help like I was told. His groaning reduced but I could still see the way he was closing his eyes tightly in pain. My poor Eddy.
A few minutes later help came as they carried him downstairs and into the ambulance and I followed quietly praying that it wasn't something serious, I've heard about food poisoning but I don't know how serious it can be.
We got to the hospital and Eddy was taken to a room then the doctors came to check him and thankfully it wasn't so serious, I'm glad I decided to come home.
He was sleeping so I just watched his handsome face as I slowly combed my fingers through his hair.
" I'm glad you're okay my love, thank God nothing happened to you," I whispered as I took his hand and placed a kiss on it.
I couldn't wait to see his beautiful green eyes again.

" Hey baby, hey," I heard someone say and I felt a light shake of my head. I slowly peeled my eyes open, I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep.
" Eddy! You're awake!" I said happily before I rushed into his arms.
" Can't breathe," He complained and I quickly released him.
" Sorry baby, I'm just glad you're awake," I said.
" Are you okay? Do you feel any pain anywhere so I can call the doctor?" I asked as I watched him carefully for his reaction, I didn't want him to pretend he was fine when he was not.
" I'm okay, especially now that I'm seeing your beautiful face, I feel better, you can test it by kissing me," Yeah he was definitely doing fine, I know him, it was only Eddy who would wake up in the hospital and ask for a kiss to prove a point.
" Don't scare me like that again baby, I was really scared," I said truthfully, when I found him on the floor like that I thought the worst, it was at that moment I realized how much I truly needed him in my life.
" Did I scare you baby?" He asked and I nodded with a pout trying to push back my tears.
" Come here baby," He said as he opened his arms for me and I hugged him, inhaling his scent.
" I'm alright there's no need to fear anymore," He whispered into my hair, and my arms around him tightened.
We just stayed in the hospital for the night and then by morning, we got discharged.
" You're not permitted to eat anything I didn't make anymore or any stupid junk, are we clear?" I said to Eddy as I served him fresh fruits, he was advised to avoid any junk food and should rather eat fresh healthy food.
" Yes Mummy," He said with a smile as he took the plate from me.
" There's nothing for you to smile about, how could you get food poisoning? They would think I was a bad girlfriend and I wasn't taking good care of you, people would think I don't feed you with the right food, I wonder how you eat so much junk and yet maintain that body," I said in annoyance before walking back to the kitchen.
" Come on baby don't be mad I promise to be a good boy from now on,"
" Yeah, good boy indeed,"
" By the way babe how did it go with that company?" He suddenly asked.
" They refused my suggestion,"
" Why? It's just a simple request, I don't want to work with your company, send me to another company, what's so hard there?"
" I really don't understand," I said with a sigh.
" So what did you do?" He asked
" I met with their boss," I said and for a second it became very quiet before Eddy spoke.
" Like your former boss Luca?" He asked and I nodded.
" What did he say?"
" He made me an offer to work there for five months and I told him I didn't want to, but now that I think about it, I think I'm going to accept the offer, only that I wouldn't even stay there for up to a month."
" What do you plan on doing Katie? That look you currently have in your eyes is quite scary,"
" Oh it's nothing, I'm just going to make them regret having someone like me in their company. I'm going to make their lives a living hell they'd be forced to send me away,"
" And how do you plan on doing that?"
