Chapter Twenty-Two One time I fell off the swing in our backyard. I was swinging way too fast and I couldn’t stop it. The swing somehow turned upside down and dropped me flat on my stomach. I cracked a rib and almost punctured my lung. I remember crying until my thought bled, it hurt so much I can still remember the pain ten years later. I really thought that I was going to die, and that feeling for a soon-to-be eight-year-old was devastating. I remember being in the emergency room with my father for a lot of hours and being in pain for so long. What I’m feeling now is worse than what I felt back then. It feels like someone has literally cut off all my oxygen source and I feel like screaming until I have no throat left. The pain I’m feeling right now is worse than the physical pain I fel
