Life is really cruel to Liona. Her beloved beautiful mother died while giving birth to her. Her businessman father, who was eagerly waiting for her birth, immediately blamed her and called her a vixen who killed her own mother. Her father had just left her in the care of the nannies and maids. He never even looked back to see if she was alive or not.
Liona was called the cursed princess who never got the love of her own family, but fortunately the nannies and the surrounding maids had always been very kind to her and loved her as a child. Liona as a baby was like a real life doll. Her skin was snow-white, red lips, big crystal blue eyes, shiny blond hair. No matter who she meets in her life, the people around her have always been fascinated by her beauty.
Because of being a daughter of a businessman her father always kept her in captivity in a huge villa. She had everything in life but love. She never complained or showed dissatisfaction that she was not grateful. She was always thankful, even when her own father had refused to see her since her birth, as if he bluntly wanted to show how much he hated her for killing her own mother.
Liona's only dream was to be a capable daughter to her proud father. But no matter whatever she did in life, it felt like it was in vain. She could never satisfy her unreasonable father, who was always ready to criticize her no matter what. She had always hoped that maybe if she kept working hard on herself, expecting her father would praise her and say, "You did a good job."
In return, she would say modestly that it's fine. I will do better next time.
But that dream shattered when her own father arranged a marriage for her with a very powerful Mafia, who only knew how to kill people for living. Not only that, he was also so cruel and ruthless that he did not hesitate to kill someone right in front of everyone at a party who dared to challenge him.
He is KILLIAN KING.
Liona felt shivers run through her whole body. She was truly terrified of this man. She could not believe, let alone imagine that her own father would send her to her own death pretending that he was doing this for her own good. Bullshit! That ruthless man won't blink to kill her if she does anything to displease him. She was very afraid when she heard what he did to those who dared to displease him in the slightest. Is she going to be his next victim? She doesn't want to know!
Liona could not believe how stupidly she got his attention by mistake of him wanting to marry her home. She did not even know him. If she did, she would have runaway from there long ago. She asked God why he was playing with her life! She felt so lonely and miserable. It's not that she doesn't want to cry and tell everyone about her miserable fate, it's just she doesn't dare to do so. What if he knew that she was not happy? What if he silenced her before she could live a little more?
The day she met him was the day she turned 18. All she wanted was to see her father and tell him how much she missed him and to tell him to forgive her even for the crimes she did not commit. She just wanted him to look at her with proud eyes and tell everyone that she was his only beloved daughter.
But she was truly an unlucky girl. It was the most terrible day for her to get chosen by Killian King for marriage. She truly didn't know why of all women on this earth he chose her for. So let's go to that day when her misery began.
In front of the Paris Hotel. Liona hid at the entrance of the hotel for a whole morning and finally saw her father, Mr Milton, get out of a Bentley and walk into the hotel. Liona immediately followed them in.
Her father had been hiding from her, never allowing her to appear in front of his eyes. Now, when she goes to his house to look for him, the security guard won't let her into the yard, saying that her father was not at home. She couldn't even get through on the phone, because she was not allowed to have a phone, so she could never get access to the outside world. As if he was determined to let her die in the luxurious villa with an empty heart.
Liona still did not give up. She went to his office, but it was the same situation. They did not allow her in, which was really frustrating.
Liona thought that she had to try again today no matter what, and she had to make her father realize that he can't just deny her ordinary human rights. She ran from her villa to find him in a great painful way.
When Liona saw her father and his secretary John getting on the elevator, she ran over in a hurry to see which floor they pressed. As she ran too fast, she accidentally knocked over a little girl's toy doll onto the floor.
"I'm sorry, little girl. I didn't mean it." Liona saw the little girl staring at the toy that fell on the ground stupidly without crying or making a fuss. She thought she was scared of her, so she quickly picked up the doll and returned it to her.
The little girl held the toy doll and finally looked up at Liona. The girl was about three years old in front of her. Wearing a pink dress, it made her look like a cute Barbie doll, but her eyes were full of tears, but she stubbornly refused to let it fall, her eyes were staring at her as if longing for something. It was what Liona herself wanted; love, affection, care. Liona was immediately stunned, but she really didn't know how to comfort a child. She wanted the little girl to smile.
Liona hugged the girl, and then she checked the little girl up and down and asked, "Are you okay, honey? Where are your parents?"
"Donna!" Suddenly a slightly rough male voice shouted, and the little girl immediately shook off Liona's hand and ran away.
Liona vaguely saw a tall man in the direction of the little girl. After confirming that it was the girl's relative, she quickly turned around and continued to run towards the elevator. She stood under the elevator and waited for a while, and found that the elevator stopped once on the 20th and 26th floors, respectively.
"The 20th or 26th floor?" Liona found the hotel profile map and discovered that the 20th floor was the restaurant and the 26th floor was the conference room. "Let's go to the 20th floor first, then the 26th floor."
After Liona made her decision, she turned around and entered the elevator.
Killian King squatted down and looked at his niece Donna and asked, "What happened just now? Who is that girl? Did she hurt you?"
His eyes were murderous, as if his niece nodded he would kill the girl who dared to touch her, causing her to cry for no reason.
Because there was a potted plant in the middle, Killian didn't see clearly what happened. He saw a young girl squatting in front of Donna and saying something. Donna's situation was rather special, she was a very quiet child, so he asked with some concern.
Donna blinked her black and white eyes and shook her head gently.
"I'm glad you're okay. Don't run too far next time." Killian thought of the lively and cute girl in the past, who had become like this now. While feeling pity for her, he also felt annoyed for no reason.
"Don't you like ice cream? Let's go have another one." Killian picked up Donna.
"Sir, children can't eat too much cold food, and... the time we agreed with Mr Milton has come." Killian's special assistant, Miles, stood up and said.
"Isn't he late for the contract signing then let him taste his own medicine? Then you can go sign the papers. I'll go up after I accompany Donna to have some ice cream." Killian said without any care. The only person on this earth he truly cared was his niece. No matter whatever she wants, he will get it for her. To the world, he is a ruthless Mafia business person, but in front of his niece he was only his family, who she can rely on.
Ten minutes later,
The special assistant and Mr Milton were chatting satisfied about their upcoming work together when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"It seems that Mr King is here," Miles said.
Everyone's eyes immediately turned to the door. Miles stood up to open the door, only to see a pretty girl in a white dress standing outside. He was stunned.
Liona walked around the restaurant for a long time without seeing her father, so she took the elevator to the 26th floor. She knocked on the front door and saw an elite man in a suit opening the door. She immediately said embarrassedly, "Excuse me, is Mr. Milton here?"
"Who's looking for me?" When Mr Milton heard his name, he stood up and walked to the door. The moment he saw Liona, his face changed instantly.
"Father!" Liona eyes suddenly lit up, and she walked past Miles and entered the room.
"Why are you here?" Mr Milton managed to control himself from getting angry on the spot.
"Father, you are here." Liona pretended to be stupid and said, "I couldn't get through to you on the phone, and I went to the company, and they said you were not there because of something. I was just eating downstairs with my friends, and I saw you, so I wanted to come over to confirm if it was you. It turned out to be you."
"Who is this?" Miles asked in confusion when he saw Mr Milton in the room and looked unhappy as soon as the girl came in.
"Oh, this is my only daughter, Liona", Mr Milton explained. He did not dare to be rude and cause a seen to attract anyone's attention especially Mr King unwanted anger. The result would be terrible. He did not want to turn up dead today because of his stupid daughter, Liona.
He pushed Liona out. "I have something important to discuss now. We can talk about your matter later."
"No, father..." Liona insisted, but a girl's strength was no match for an adult man, and she was soon pushed to the door. She was thinking about whether to pull the door frame.
"What's going on?" Killian King stood at the door holding Donna.
Seeing the two of them arguing, he narrowed his eyes and smiled dangerously, "Are you going to cause a scene on my watch?" He didn't even look at the girl who was being bullied, because he didn't care.
"No..." Mr Milton realized the other person's identity almost immediately and quickly stopped pushing Liona. This was the first time he had met Mr King face to face. He really wanted to impress him and not lose face because of his stubborn, unlucky daughter who always makes sure he suffers.
"Then don't stand at the door."
"Oh." Mr Milton didn't know if it was an illusion, but he felt that there was a chilling aura about Mr Killian King. Nah, it's not an illusion, it's his dark murderous aura that made him the most feared Mafia, in the underworld.
Liona knew that she was able to stay there because of this man who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, so she turned around and smiled at the man with some gratitude, then followed him into the room. Thanks to him, she could finally have an eye-to-eye conversation with her own father without him rejecting her existence.
Killian saw that the girl was petite but not afraid of him, so he raised his eyebrows in amusement. This was the first time in his 30 years of life someone dared to smile at him thinking he was a nice person?
How interesting!
Who is she?
She now has his undivided attention.
And that's how she caught the most feared Mafia's attention. Only because she treated him like a regular person and ignored his dark murderous aura. She did not bow her head in fear but looked at him eye to eye, as if en equal.
Good, very good, you are mine.
