Connor's POV:
My phone call with Kai and Calib didn’t deliver anything useful. They had sent scouts to check their borders as well as Cain’s, who was still with Amy’s sister, but found nothing, there was no sign of any Rogues. It had been 3 days since the attack, and we still couldn’t find any sign of them. If I hadn’t seen and fought them off, I wouldn’t have even known that they were there.
I felt frustrated on more than one front.
My mind conjured up Amy’s face and I started thinking of our current situation. Amy had stayed in her room, she wasn’t even venturing out anymore, she just stayed there all cloistered up, not eating much.
Chris walked in and I jumped up “Anything, any sign of them”
