CHAPTER 2: THE MISSION

Samantha’s POV

“Ok ! Meeting adjourned everyone !!”, Mom declared after a pretty intense meeting. “You kids prepare yourselves for your assignments”, Mom said as she looked at me, Kai and Ty before turning to me exclusively.

“Samantha darling, you will leave for the Blue Moon pack tonight. You have a free hand in this mission and I hope that you will come back in one piece because I am not sending any of your fathers with you”, Mom tenderly said and surprisingly took me in her embrace !! “I am sorry, baby. I was just tense about your well being before”, she apologized making my f*****g eyes turn into freaking water faucets again.

Fuck !

Not in front of everyone !!

I had a rep to protect !

“It’s ok, Mom. I was at fault and you did the right thing. I have learnt my lesson well”, I replied and kissed her cheek, making my mother smile and reciprocate her affection.

“Ok baby. You got a dangerous mission to execute. Prep up yourself and if I do not find your naughty ass back here in the pack house before dawn of the seventh day from today, then the Blue Moon Pack better prepare for war and my fury”, Mom said with a wink, making me grin and walked out with the exiting sentinels.

Samantha’s POV

As I geared up in all black and stacked my back, boots, arms, waist, chest and even my hair pin with weapons, I sensed Aunt Amanda behind me in the artillery room.

“Aunt Amanda !! What do I owe the pleasure of seeing you at this hour ?”, I asked and an amused grin spread across my favourite Aunt’s face.

She was the Royal Seer of our pack !

However, she was my mom’s best friend first and then her most trusted adviser and then the crazy Seer of our pack. She was a kickass woman just like my mom !!!

We all sextuplets adored her to death.

“I just wanted to wish you luck and if ever you face a dilemma then go with what the Moon Goddess has decided for you. If you know it is fated and meant to be, then don’t fight it. Just go with the flow”, she replied with a smile.

“I don’t understand”, I frowned confused. “You are speaking in riddles again. You saw something !! Didn’t you ?”, I asked the powerful Seer.

“Yes. 19 years back, I saw everything about you and your sextuplet siblings. I just wanted to warn you before you did something that you would regret”, she forewarned.

I sighed and replied, “I know you won’t tell me anything more, Aunt Amanda but the mission is pretty straightforward. I just need to keep tabs on the Dark Moon Pack and provide intel to Mom and Kai for a week”, I said with a casual wave of my hand before I tucked in enough suppressants that would last me for a week.

Boy, how wrong I was when I later found out.

The mission was anything but straightforward !

If you asked me later, it was a hell of a mess and super crazy but how was I to know that beforehand !!!!

Wave after wave of shocks hit me and for the first time in my life I did not know what to do !!!

“You don’t know that yet”, Aunt Amanda chuckled before leaving me to my own devices with a wink.

Yeah ! She was right.

I didn’t know anything yet and like a puppet of the Moon Goddess, I prepared myself to enter the Den where my world would suddenly become topsy-turvy.

Ughh.

Samantha’s POV

“MOTHER OF GOD !! I SWEAR I AM GOING TO PUT THE SEXTUPLET ON ADOPTION, WHO MADE A HOLE AT THE BOTTOM OF MY COFFEE MUG !! MY LA LA LAND SEEMS TO BE ON FIRE RIGHT NOW !”, Dad Jace bellowed and I am pretty sure that the whole pack must have heard which all regions of his were flamin’ because of my prank. Hehe.

“That’s nothing !!”, Dad Bryant whined. “What do you think is the worst way to get up when you see a snake dancing out of the laundry basket in the bathroom while looking at you !!!! I nearly forgot how to breathe !! My piss and his hiss seemed to be doing a frightening duet together”, he narrated his tales of woe.

“You are a wolf, asshole. You could just have scared it away !! What did you do ?”, Dad Jace asked curiously.

“Poop. Uncontrollably”, Dad Bryant deadpanned.

“Ewww”, Dad Jace scrunched his face. “That’s too much information, dude !!!!!”, he groaned.

“You asked for it”, Dad Bryant shrugged nonchalantly.

“SAMANTHA STONE !!!!!! I LOVE YOU, PRINCESS BUT MY WOLF IS COMING TO GET YOUR NAUGHTY HEAD !!!”, Dad Xander suddenly hollered.

Oops ! He was not supposed to open his closet for another hour till I would have gone from here and the-

“ .… AND THE BLOODY CAKE SPRUNG ALL OVER MY FACE !!!!! I DECIDED TO EAT IT ANYWAY. YOU KNOW WHY WASTE STUFF AND OH DEAR GAWWDDD, IT WAS SO STUPID OF ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE PRANK STOPPED THERE !!!!! I AM NEVER GONNA TOUCH CAKES AGAIN !!!!”, Dad Xander groaned and fake sobbed on Dad Jace’s shoulder. “AND YOU SMELL LIKE COFFEE s**t, JACE”, he gagged and scooted away from Dad J.

“I swear that girl is the naughtiest of the lot”, Dad Bryant whined as he tested his coffee filled mug before lifting it.

“Samantha ! Dear, could you please come to my office right now ?”, Dad Sage mindlinked me.

“Already on my way, Dad !!”, I replied back as I dashed to the mentioned meet up place in my super Vampire speed.

“Dad !!”, I heartily greeted as I burst into his Alpha office.

“Princess !!”, he chuckled as he gave me a giant daddy hug. “I heard Jace and Xander scream”, he grinned. “I hope I don’t have any surprises waiting for me in my closet”, he winked.

“No Dad !! I would never do that with any of you”, I “innocently” said while batting my eyelashes.

“Yeah ! I am still wondering who stuck my bathroom slippers with glue and I ended up falling on my face yesterday and who substituted my shampoo with pink dye before that. I can’t even understand who lured my wolf to a faux leaf covered pit before your birthday bash !!!! Similar mysteries have been bothering me since you six devils were born”, Dad Sage huffed.

Awww. He looked so cute when he tried to act angry with me.

I knew my fathers could not stay mad at us sextuplets for long, given that the Moon Goddess had gifted us with the ‘hard to ignore’, heart melting puppy eyes.

Hallelujah !

“I will make it up to you, Daddy”, I giggled and plopped down on the chair in front of his huge Alpha Chair.

“Princess, this is the Blue Moon Pack’s security plan as you had asked”, he said as he handed over the roll for me to remember. After scanning the entire map once and burning it to my eidetic memory, I lit it aflame and threw it in the trash. “All lines of communication have been enabled between you and me. You can report me as and when you choose to and the pack warriors under my command shall be at standby for your help if things go South by chance”, he elaborated.

“I don’t plan on getting to that point but thanks Dad !! I know you are always there for me in every mission”, I gratefully said.

“Haha. It is actually a pleasure to watch my little bird paint a gory canvas with utter skill and not get caught. It is actually pretty grand what you do”, he praised with a tint of pride lacing his voice.

“Ofcourse I was trained by the best”, I chuckled and Dad Sage winked at me. He was the one who had afterall, personally taken me under his wing and shown me the ropes.

My Vampire Power of Invisibility had been my forte in this line of business and if you clubbed this power with Aunt Amanda’s suppressants, then I was just like plain air for the others.

I even had a secret company that undertook hitman jobs. Let’s just say that my bank accounts had money figuring to 11 digits and growing.

Now it was time to add another feather to my cap from this mission !!!!

Blue Moon Pack had better brace up now.

They were going to lodge a badass guest for a week afterall !!
