CHAPTER 7: BONDING

Samantha’s POV

My first kiss was dreamy and passion dripping as Kyler did not hold back at all and ravished the life out of my quivering lips. It was so hard not to moan and my fingers curled deeper in his hair as we made out intensely under the desk and over his freaking lap !

However, the magical moment was interrupted when Dre f*****g Hawk- the Romance Slayer threw paper balls that landed straight inside my top, between the valley of my breasts to be precise and flicked my forehead hard as “he picked up his pen near our table”.

That b***h !!

“Tone it down in the classroom, freaks”, he hissed as he passed by us. Pot calling the kettle black, eh ?

Kyler chuckled and pecked my lips one last time before helping me up.

“I am sorry for the surprise but I couldn’t help it”, Kyler chuckled. “You are really pretty and I would feel honored if you joined me for lunch at the pack house back home”, he proposed.

What ?

Already ?

Wasn’t this too fast ?

While I hesitated, the fucker- Dre ofcourse butted in, especially when it was a business which did not require his nosy presence.

“We accept !! We will be surely there. Don’t mind your mate, Alpha Arrow, the bulb of her slow poke brain is slow to light up most of the times as you can see. I will drag her with me”, he gushed and all I could do was open and close my mouth like a fish before full on glaring at my Beta.

What the heck is his bloody problem, again ?

Mom and Uncle Lee’s friendship could go in flames, is all I care, if I got to butcher this asshole.

Why the f**k can’t he keep his f*****g tarp tight shut over his f*****g lips ?

I am so gonna kill him in his sleep.

“Great ! You guys can accompany me and Xeon after class then. We can go together !! You guys can freshen up back at our pack house only”, Kyler suggested.

“You can stay with us for the night too, if you want ! No need to go to your dorms. If you wish, we can provide you with different rooms, although I would prefer to keep my cutie caged with me”, Xeon winked at Dre who immediately after blushed like a f*****g innocent, virgin bride.

Blergh !

“You can keep him for forever. In any case, this monkey has long overstayed his welcome in our pack”, I replied and immediately after tried so hard to muffle my cry in the silent class, when a ninja star struck on my chest.

Is he trying to f*****g kill me ?

“What the hell ?!”, Kyler and Xeon yelled together, forgetting where they were and a detention was issued to the two of them immediately, on their very first day after I ducked down under the desk.

Awesome !!

“Are you hurt ?”, Kyler worriedly asked, completely dismissing the Chemistry teacher’s warning.

“Oh yeah !! That’s normal between us”, I giggled nervously and stuck out the deeply buried, bloody weapon out of me, causing Kyler to grimace as if he was in pain.

Tracing his fingers gently over my wound, my bleeding cells healed faster than my wolf’s healing powers and I looked up at him in awe.

“How ?”, I whispered awestruck.

“We have a lot of time to know about each other after this class, don’t you think ?”, Kyler chuckled. “I will tell you later if the prof lets me get out of here alive”, he joked making me giggle and a detention was issued to guess who ?

Hint: The Chem prof’s favourite student. Note the sarcasm.

“Why would you harm your Alpha ?”, I heard Xeon ask the culprit of his detention in astonishment.

“You will know soon when you’ll get to know how much of a pain, she is in everyone’s ass”, Dre grumbled and ofcourse, a pointed compass found its mark, straight at the centre of his forehead.

Wohoooo ! Bingo !!

“Should I be worried that I might be killed between you two”, Kyler murmured.

“Nah ! You won’t die by my weapons atleast. I got a hundred percent accuracy rate but that b***h has a sloppy aim”, Dre brushed off Kyler’s concerns.

“Don’t force me to show “my skills” with another set of compasses, Beta dear”, I hissed at my Beta, making him laugh.

“I would like to see you try”, Dre smirked.

“YOU, MISTER. THE ONE AT THE BACK WHO IS SHOWING HIS TEETH TO MS SAMANTHA”, the prof pointed at a laughing Dre who paled soon after and went ascetic mute. “DETENTION FOR YOU TOO ALONG WITH THE OTHER THREE. SHAME ON YOU ALL !!”, he angrily scolded.

Feeling ashamed, we four went mum for the rest of the class and diligently jotted down our notes.

However, this was way fun than I had imagined !

My mate was so cool !!!!

And so was his Beta !

I had a feeling we four were going to be as thick as thieves for eternity.

Samantha’s POV

“Why is everyone looking at me as if they wanna eat me up or else kill me ?”, Xeon whispered as we took our food trays from the counter and tried to search for seats in the densely populated cafeteria.

“You stole away Dre from them”, I answered.

“And they wanna eat you coz God ! You are so yummy”, Dre said out aloud while licking his lips and eyeing his mate from toe to head.

By the time his eyes met that of a smirking Xeon, he realized too late that he had spoken out aloud, making him feel ashamed and hide behind me.

“Uh- uh I- I will g-get a glass of water”, he stuttered from behind and dashed in the opposite direction to that of the water cooler.

Wow !! Way to make things smooth, Dre Hawk.

I rolled my eyes at my Beta’s foolishness and shouted, “The cooler is in the opposite direction, you dork”, and a tomato red Dre with dark red ear tips, crossed us again to “get the glass of water”.

This fucker.

All this while Xeon was laughing so hard and trotted after his “cute headed” mate, which he very politely said for “stupid oaf”, I am pretty sure.

Like a f*****g miracle, Kyler and I luckily found a seat and sat opposite to each other. Without Dre and Xeon with us, I suddenly felt too shy- a feeling I rarely felt and I am pretty sure, after the effing trespassing incident, Dre and I had not put up a really impressive impression on our mates even today.

They really must think of us as wild animals who were suddenly let out of the zoo.

Shit. s**t. s**t.

“You are not eating ?”, Kyler questioned with concern and fed me one of his fries before pinching my cheeks. “You look so adorable when you think too hard”, he chuckled.

And when he spoke the last line, I suddenly realized that the whole cafeteria had gone stark silent and ….

WHAT THE f**k ?!

WHY WERE THEY ALL LOOKING AT US AS IF WE HAD SUDDENLY TURNED INTO ALIENS ?

WHAT THE f**k IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE !!

However, before I could venture out to find a hole to bury myself, my best friend came to my rescue.

“You all can stop gawking at the gorgeous couple, you know. They were only feeding fries to each other. It’s not like you need to stare at them as if they are feeding each other their poles and globes, you know”, Dre growled and everyone was back to making a ruckus as if they did not just drop everything else to stare at us.

“Poles and globes, huh ?”, Xeon teased as they plopped down beside us.

“Shut up, Xeon”, Dre rolled his eyes but the pink tint on his cheeks could still be seen.

“Cute”, we heard Xeon say before he dug in his food.

Samantha’s POV

As we settled down in chairs spaced out far from each other’s on the teacher’s instructions, Xereus- the Alpha of the notorious Night Walker Pack, barged in furiously inside the classroom and manhandled Kyler by holding him by his collar and threw a f*****g punch at the latter’s face out of nowhere, in front of the f*****g teacher herself !

The hopeless teacher shrieked in panic and ran out to get help as she was a totally hopeless case while Kyler spat out blood.

“TRY TO COME NEAR STONE AND I WILL KILL YOU, LOSER”, Xereus spat making me frown. What ? Why would Xereus say that ? I am confused.

Kyler pried off Xereus’ hands off his collar and threw his palm in the air to stop Xeon, Dre and me from coming near him to help.

Wow !

He had such long fingers I noticed !

They could go so deep in my dripping ….

What the f**k is wrong with me ?

“You are horny af. Admit it”, my wolf chipped in. Not again. Grrrrr.

“Don’t tell me what to do and not to do, and who to talk and whom not to talk to, Xereus”, Kyler gruffly said and spoke his attacker’s name with hated passion.

Wait a sec.

They knew each other ?

How ?

And why were they fighting ?

“Stay away from Stone if you value your life, Arrow. Otherwise, I will not hesitate to kill you in front of everyone”, Xereus threatened and I could hear the patter of multiple footsteps approaching us.

Woah !

The teacher was pretty quick to get help.

But then she was screaming at the top of her lungs so I guess I should have expected this.

Kyler smirked and spoke while looking at the Night Walker Pack’s Alpha dead in the eye, “SEPARATE ME FROM MY MATE WHEN YOU ARE THE MOON GODDESS HERSELF. OTHERWISE SHOVE AWAY YOUR MURDEROUS ASS AWAY FROM HERE BEFORE I LOSE MY COOL, XEREUS”, he spoke through gritted teeth.

My heart fluttered when he possessively said “MY MATE” and I couldn’t help but feel like a lovesick school girl.

“Says the f*****g assassin himself”, Xereus laughed. “Don’t act like you weren’t the one who killed my Drug Lords and blew away my Wolfsbane weapons’ factory”, he snapped while balling his fists to punch Kyler again. “STONE IS MINE !! Do you understand ? I will be more than happy to send you to the Moon Goddess if you lay even a filthy finger of yours on her”, he added. “Mate or not, I will make her MINE”, he growled.

Xereus was just an inch or two taller than Kyler but he was the devil himself with a scary muscular body with skull tattoos everywhere.

In short, he looked like an ever angry bull and I am pretty sure that drugs were just a small game for him.

Murder, kidnapping, trafficking, forced slavery, prost*tution, etc were some of the known crimes that his pack committed but I was pretty sure that the nefarious nexus committed even worse crimes unknown to us.

Such a notorious Alpha could not be so powerful without participating in under hand dealings.   

“I don’t know what you are talking about but if someone did what you said, then I am f*****g pleased”, Kyler replied back. “As for Samantha, I am sure that even if I was not her mate, she would have never chosen you”, Kyler whispered in his aggressor’s ear before shoving away Xereus from him; just in time when the security team came in and took away a glaring Xereus.

Whew !

Thank God he was taken away.

I just could not stand that creepy man’s presence anymore.
