We run away, into nowhere…somewhere…and we become separated inside Pride. I don’t see Gray again for the rest of the day. About an hour later, after checking out a queer art show—all sales go to LGBTQIA2S+ non-profit organizations—I run into Ford and his new boy, Billy Dyle. The two are smooching under the umbrella of a willow tree, half-hidden. I pop my head inside just to make sure it’s the pair I think they are and that my mind isn’t playing a trick on me, and…yes…it’s them. Ford catches me and asks, “What’s up?” “Just seeing it’s you.” “And Billy,” he tells me. Billy waves. He does look like Brad Pitt in Bullet Train. I stick my hand through the weepy tendrils and wave back. “Looks like you two are having fun. I’ll leave you alone. Catch you later.” Off I go and meet David Somebo
