Takashi
The other rikishi may have been taunting him, Tak wasn’t sure. He had learned more Japanese in the last six weeks than he would have ever thought possible, but the more colloquial speech he heard outside the classroom in the bathhouse and during practice was harder to pick up, particularly when it was being mumbled out of the corner of the mouth by someone who didn’t necessarily want the instructor to hear. Tak didn’t let it bother him; he already knew that no one in the school was his friend.
