Chapter Twenty-Six Rabia “We’re too late,” Rabia said, leaning forward in her seat to peer through the window. Hjalmar didn’t answer, but his hands suddenly moving over the controls told her he too had seen. They were flying close to the lunar surface, just high enough to be above the mountain ranges but close enough to see every detail. Craggy rocky peaks glowing in the sunlight contrasted starkly with the deep inky shadows of vast craters all under a starry sky, and Rabia had let the constant sense of pressure ease up in her mind, basking in her first glimpses of the universe outside of Chandi V.
