Boone I rub my eyes with the palms of my hands to ward off the scratchiness as they blink. I was up all night, but not for the reason I typically am. After our talk yesterday, Lex and I decided we should probably take a beat. She went to her apartment, and I stayed here, only I was restless from the moment I got home and knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. At nine, I went over to the job site, grabbed my plans for the dresser and the wood I'd set aside, and worked to completion. The first coat of stain is now drying in the garage. Glancing at the clock over my stove, I realize I have a few hours to go before everyone arrives for Sunday dinner, but I want Lex to get here sooner. I set my phone on the counter, since my hands are stained, and type out a text with one finger. B: I know you'
